This feels just a bit icky to me, but if this is a compliance thing it means we need to contact our local governments

I’m petty sure it’ll be fine if you just use your own email.

Scratch does track your geolocation in moderation contexts. This is why you might be IP banned on a VPNDid some research and apparently yes you can. I don't think Scratch would track your geolocationEven though I live in the UK, I'm guessing no.do the states options show up if you set your location to the United states if you live in a different country

This feels just a bit icky to me, but if this is a compliance thing it means we need to contact our local governmentsTo be completely honest, this is true. If you really want to make a change, and you're in a state that requires this, contact your local representative and complain about it. They work for you.
And complaining about it on a forum is not gonna help.

what’s the point of this state thing? What exactly is it needed for?Its for state laws. They need to make sure there privacy policy abides by your states privacy laws or whatever. Its not a Scratch thing its a legal thing

(and it's totally not me lying about my country in protest of this dumb, creepy, and unneeded thing that was added because of Richard Drumpf, the president of the U.S., making this law)just switch your country to Antarctica to avoid having to put your state. that's what i did.Oh. Unrelated, but I just moved to Canada!
