hey so recently, i've wanted to restore all of my permanently deleted projects from a while back. i've been able to restore some of them by finding their links, but i wanted to find all of them. i contacted support to see if they can help me, and all i got was an automated response. replied for more clarification and actual help, another automated response. did it again, automated response. did it a fourth time, got (i think) renee telling me, like the automated replies, that they are unable to restore deleted projects. which is false, as i have been able to access my old projects with their links, despite them being permanently deleted. what do i do now? i dont wanna try pestering support more and more telling me the same false things.

What did the response say?

yeah, it was the contact us page. the responses to all four replies i got boil down to “unfortunately, we are unable to restore permanently deleted projects. next time, save copies of them or keep them in your trash or unshared folder”. despite that, unshared projects are completely recoverable, and i've found a good few of them through wayback machine and the account deletion page.

the way back machine doesn't archive everything.

It’s possible that the whole thing may be a safety measure
Can they possibly see your deleted projects? Maybe, but also think of the case someone hacks your account, finds your email, etc and tries to restore your deleted projects without your permission or knowledge.

If you can recover your own deleted projects, then why do you need the Scratch Team's assistance? How certain are you that the deleted projects you cannot recover yourself are not also projects that the Scratch Team cannot recover themselves?

i wish for assistance on projects that i reeeeally cannot find. i either find them through either wayback machine, finding comments with links of my projects, or the account deleted page. or brute forcing project ids until one of the millions of them turns out to be the one im looking for (have tried. dont recommend)

scratch team isn't going to be brute for project IDs either. think how many reports they have to go through, trying to brute force project IDs would make their job even harder for them
