I love zram.
It made my rpi5 load things much faster. Now I just have to deal with the rapidly deteriorating storage card.

I love zram.“get an ssd”, i would have said before getting mauled by the stupid-high storage prices
It made my rpi5 load things much faster. Now I just have to deal with the rapidly deteriorating storage card.

Uh, yeah. I still will be getting an SSD eventually, but I kinda don't really care enough about my raspberry pi having a kernel panic and shutting down because I store everything important on my school issued Chromebook or on one of my flash drives.I love zram.“get an ssd”, i would have said before getting mauled by the stupid-high storage prices

No joke a Amazon driver tried to steal an SSD I ordered, luckily the people that lived a couple of houses over saw the opened package and returned it to me and it was still in thereI love zram.“get an ssd”, i would have said before getting mauled by the stupid-high storage prices

bump.you can use fydeos based on chromium os but no google
I prefer Linux over ChromeOS anyday, so glad that I don't have to deal with Google anymore

ChromeOS Flex?I suppose it is possible to run Chromium OS on an x86 architecture (the Chromebook Pixel has an i5 processor) but I am unaware of a public download.I'm stuck with Window$.No you're not. You can dual-boot. You don't even need to be an admin on the computer. *wicked grin*
Right now i'm on Fedora, having switched from Lubuntu (the LXDE Ubuntu) a few months ago. I'm thinking of going quad-boot (Fedora 18, Lubuntu, Windows 7 [the computer's pre-installed OS {not my pick}]) by adding Chromium OS.

I wanted to switch to Linux entirely, but the driver for my network adapter is new and not amazing. I had to use an Arch-based system to get a new enough kernel initially, so I'm running EndeavourOS. It works good enough at my house, but with my school's fairly terrible internet I'm not sure if that driver will survive, hence I dual-boot Windows in case it'll be necessary at school with EndeavourOS as the main partition.
