Scratch, like profile pictures, have a limit on what size studio thumbnails can be. These limits are 500x500px in size and 512KB in storage space.

The recommended size for a studio thumbnail is 200×130px. My studio, Tweety's Game Library, has a studio thumbnail size of ~500×305. Scratch will always render studio thumbnails with anti-aliasing so that's one of the reasons why it might be blurry.

Studio thumbnails are automatically resized to 170x100 pixels when you upload them, but they are displayed larger on the studio page, and that is why they sometimes appear blurry.
