as always isn't it obvious-
My reasons is that if a kid who doesn't know what it means and comes across it on the website, they'll search it up and learn a bad word (sob sob like me)

I removed it (along with the other “censor mildly bad word” suggestions) because folks were using the TOLORS quote to justify that saying those words is allowed in any context. (This is in fact not true; when used disrespectfully, those words are not allowed.)

I've historically agreed that it should be censored, but maybe why it isn't censored is a result of language evolving. I kinda feel like this particular word is a word itself, almost … yes, it originated as an acronym, but these days it's kinda used as an emoticon but with letters instead. idk man

Semi-support. It has a bad word in it, but it's not considered offensive enough. This is also rejected.

Wow, society really needs to reconsider what words the true bad words and not true bad words.

No support. The filter prevents you from saying the full meaning of “lmao”.

Literally in this day of age, most kids know cuss words. Why remove it when kids would search it up and already know what the cuss word means?

if the viewer is thinking about the inappropriate one, then thats their problem

and if someone is using lmao in a disrespecc-ful way

no support for reasons above. I can see idk's meaning better than lol or lmao's meaning. it takes a second to process. plus, I've never had a problem with anyone saying it.

I mean, honestly, even if you do take swear words seriously/offensively, the full version of lmao is so mild, and the abbreviated version is even more ngl. I mean honestly, if parents don't want their kids learning swear words, they shouldn't have internet access, I mean it's pretty simple in my opinion. You can't really expect to expose a child to the global web and not have them pick up words like that, and lmao is genuinely so miniscule and inconsequential in my opinion, that I really don't think it matters.
