I think some bugs should be fixed and wait for the player to move so the player doesn't have to run into the obstacle constantly unless they know what they're doing beforehand

You can use a wait until block and you can put that in BEFORE all the code in the broadcasts that handle the starting. You can add a ready sprite that's a simple thing saying “Ready? Press SPACE to Start” and make it disappear when the space key is pressed
