That’s true. If there’s nothing to pick on the suggestion and its genuinely good, there’s no point bumping as there are no areas of discussion.

In an ideal situation where if there was any possible addition it would immediately be discussed and resolved, this is correct. but forumers are lazy (citation: I am one of them). A post with little discussion is likely to still have flaws to buff out, just ones not obvious enough to find just glancing it over (which is how many forumers operate: just looking in a post, seeing if there is anything obvious to say, and then moving on if they cant find anything immediately).

Youve also not addressed my other example, the one about the bad idea. The gist of what I am trying to say is, if a post is significantly flawed it will be bumped several times more than a post with few flaws because it is easier to contribute to a flawed discussion than a mostly strong one.

there are going to be suggestions that are underrated
which BARELY gets attention, even with single bumps or less
not everyone is going to bump on a suggestion that they don’t own
leaving no choice but for the OP to bump it themselves if the actually good suggestion needs to get attention
suggestions are created in days, and not everyone has a chance, especially if it gets pushed behind pages from not so good quality suggestions
and topics with the most attention is from a discussion that is an equivalent to an UN meeting #19

Trolls already get attention themselves after they made a topic that does nothing to contribute to scratch

some Scratchers can make actually good stuff in TIMAC rather than being another “SWC TOPIC!1!1!1!!1!1!1!1!”
SWC topics are common in TIRAP, bringing down topics from scratchers who actually put care into their work
in TIRAP there are some underrated/cult-following media that a Scratcher would like, which means that no one would care for
being taken down by FFP Topics with a common goal, even if it’s a popular/mainstream game, same thing would happen

before you say: “the existing bumping rule is broken like a-lot”
scratchers already told others to not do it, and it’s already hard to enforce since calculations between timeposting is required

speaking of enforcement, this rule would also be hard to enforce
without an automated system which might trigger a false flag one day or another

I agree with New Scratchers and Show and Tell but not Suggestions or Interests Beyond Scratch

so anyways I believe TIMAC over Show and Tell
because TIMAC is at the lower depths of the main forum page while Show and Tell is way more above at Making Scratch Projects
usually the only reason why a scratcher would use Show and Tell is have their project get views and likes
while TIMAC can show that a scratcher is not just talented in scratch, it can be on anything

more reasons would have to do with how TIMAC is treated
theres so many SWC and YouTube link topics, pushing down a high quality topic compared to others
while Show and Tell is mostly for advertising Scratch projects which fame is a common idea among scratchers

while TIMAC isn’t really that much about fame, it’s about something else
I barely see anyone talk about “off-site fame” on Scratch
