This seemed confusing until I read your examples. I feel like a

(% of () :: operators)

would make more sense, and people could just choose to do this:

(% of ((1)+(5)) :: operators)

also since when have scratch blocks been 3.0?

I asked for it to be reopened as this is a good suggestion, which scratch wants to keep open.

Anyways I support this as this would be useful for new and non-new scratcher alike and has a lot of potential uses

Also I actually agree with the block idea, but sadly the scratch team hasn't added ANY requested blocks to scratch for a really long time

Which one? Because the attached URL says something about cloud variables that have existed a long time ago, and there is no block like that in scratch

There's something similar in Turbowarp called CloudLink that does have an “is online” block, but it's not compatible with scratch

Also I support this because scratch is mean to be begginer friendly and this is easier to understand than what is currently used for that I guess
