From Waterfall!

Aaa ok my forum notifications are wack I thought there weren’t any new posts - I have two activities ready, which one should I post when I get back?

1 - they analyze data and write about which sector they believe should investigate for rebels (so it’s a mini exercise on argumentative writing, analyzing data, and citing said data) and then for the second more chill part, they do “field observation” where they go outside for like 20-30 minutes and note things they observe in an observation report

2 - industry management, production has stopped in the factories and they have to figure out what to do to fix it and write about it. I’m not in love with that one so I kind of feel like I should go with the first activity and edit this one more. And for the chill activity it’s an efficiency management assignment, where they have to organize their desk, work area, bag, or something like that

And then in like five or so days I think I start the rebel spy test interactive

Forum notifications are so weird sometimes, ahaha- If you could post them whenever you get the chance, that'd be great!! I also like the first one better, but I think we can keep the plot of the first one (and I like the chill activity), but maybe edit the writing activity? It might be nice to do some more fictional writing as opposed to just argument/persuasion/nonfiction skills like this activity and activity one explored? And then we can have a final writeup where there find the rebels or something because I don't think we'll have time for more than two activities, since we're already over halfway through the session!

Plans for up until next week because I will probably forget to do this later:
Saturday (tomorrow): Going to another city for the day, will be on in the morning and late afternoon/evening, less so during the day
Sunday: Church, watching the World Cup finals
Monday: Driver's test! And going camping
Tuesday: Camping
Wednesday: Camping but also coming back home
Thursday: Volunteering with my church, will basically be inactive all day
Friday: Nothing currently but we will probably make plans for this day

It's going to be kind of busy for me until the end of the session because we've got a bunch of things to do before we leave to go back to Singapore, but seeing as I sleep somewhat late and wake up early, I do expect that I can probably respond to things at least once on most days! I will have inconsistent internet when camping, by the way, plus I'm going to try to take a break for once, so I'll probably be less active then

Ooh, that could be interesting! Like make up a plausible explanation to tell them? This could be something to do with a plot arc/outlining, perhaps.

ok so what if instead of the first activity for this one, there are a couple prompts, like:

The people in sector x are getting restless. Create a story about a neighborhood hero to lift their spirits!

The people of sector y are showing signs of aggression. Create a story that can serve as a metaphorical cautionary tale.

The people of sector z's food and water shipments have been captured, but we don't want the people to know. Create a plausible excuse to explain why it is delayed.

i'll come up with two more. the one thing i'm missing for the activities is the thumbnail, if you could send that somehow it would be great <3

For the thumbnail, are you looking for the same one as the activity 1 thumbnail, just with the number updated? Or are you looking for a new one?

A note on the camping trip: Last time I went, I did have some internet (though reception is very poor), but I will also not be able to charge my phone there, so it'll be pretty minimal activity still because I need to conserve battery!

so sorry for the inactivity hshshshsh, i just had a big essay due but i'm done with my class as early as saturday–subtheme ideas for our cabin page? theme is gemstones :eyes:

sapphires could be good as they symbolize loyalty and that's kind of our cabin's whole goal, making sure campers stay loyal to the directorate :0

update 2: cabin pfp's! i'll send out something in main dystopian cabin to see if anyone is still interested in a pfp esp cause we're so close to session end

On the cabin page, I love the idea of sapphires! I was thinking of something deep blue anyway so it could fit the aesthetic, so I think that would work very nicely because it also ties in the theme. One other one that could work is ruby, which symbolizes power.

hmmm i do like the idea of rubies–sapphires might fit better though since we've been pushing the dark blue theme quite a bit :3

i love rubies and sapphire those are literally our colors as well!!
