Scratch "unattended/silent" installation on 50+ school computers

Hi folks,

I managed to roll out the scratch executable on Windows, and associate the .sb3 extension with the executable. The last annoyance I have is that when Scratch is started for the first time, there is a prompt asking for permission to share my usage data with the team. After answering it with yes od no, the prompt goes away entirely, so it is permanently stored somewehere. I would like to preset this setting.

Does anyone know where the permanent storage of this flag is? Registry? Any config file?

Thnks a lot

Check the subdirectories of C:/Users/<YourUsername>/AppData/ ? Look for files named ‘Scratch’, it might be in there.

The flag is called optIn and it's in %APPDATA%\Scratch\telemetry.json. I don't think the file exists before Scratch is opened for the first time, so you can create it with the following content:
{"optIn": false}
