So, on my alt account, I'm making a compilation of a few Christian songs from Myanmar (specifically Karenic, Chin, and Jingpho songs) and I don't know how to make the project less just being about music sharing.
I'm saying because something I noticed is that music sharing is a big problem within the Christian side of Scratch, but I still want to share these songs in their own project.

Well, music sharing projects aren't allowed if they're strictly to share music with nothing else added to the project.

Maybe you could add some traditional art for it? Idk, maybe try to draw what the songs are making music abt? Or draw people in Kachin, Chin, Jingpo, and Rakhine clothing ig?


Or you could draw yourself listening to music and maybe a small but pretty simple animation by rotating bits or adding effects like you did with your most recent project (nice art btw, how did you make it look like a normal picture altogether while the art itself is split in 3 pieces?)

idk why you included Rakhine if Rakhine is basically 1% Christian. Also Jingpho people ARE Kachin.

I used a background remover for those specific parts of the drawing

These sound like good ideas.

To elaborate: if you are making a project and are worried about whether or not it counts as a music-sharing project, ask yourself this: “If I removed all of the music in this project, would that defeat the purpose of my project?” If the answer is “no,” then you should be fine to share it.

For example, if you include such music in the background of a platformer game, then that is okay, because if you were to remove the music then your project is still a playable platformer game. However, if your project was merely a radio that played this music, then that would not be okay because if you remove all the music then it's not really a radio anymore.

@ChristianScratcher1 proposes including some original art that you drew in your project. If you direct the focus of your project to your art, and not the music, then you should be safe.

I'm afraid there's not much you can do, then. Original art would probably be the easiest thing to try to incorporate. Without some form of user-made creation — one which could stand on its own without the music — the project would be considered by the Scratch Team to be a music-sharing project (hence not allowed).

Again, original art is a good way to help ensure that the project is not considered to be a music-sharing project.

As for lyrics, this is at least better than posting music with unoriginal art, because presumably some sort of programming was used to make sure the lyrics show up in the right place. If you provide a translation of the lyrics, that would help, I think. (At that point you could make the argument that the project is focused on the translation.)

what @za-chary said is a pretty good simple answer to your question if you remove the music, would that defeat the purpose of the project and would the project still be enjoyable an idea would be to add a simple loop animation so if you remove the music, you still get the animation

Also, I can't do language translations because as of the languages I listed above, I'm only learning S'gaw Karen and i'm not even done learning the Alphabet.

By this I mean, for example, going to Google Images and putting images that you did not create in the project.

An alternate strategy could be to create a PMV (picture music video) for a certain song — ask others on Scratch to create art for your song.

I'm an artist myself, so i'm probably just gonna make the drawing myself and some little animation.
