hiii! it's so nice to meet you! <3 i'm saffron, and as for SWC the funny thing is this is only my second session! i first joined as a new camper this past march. this session, i am very thankful and lucky to be co-leading gothic cabin! i'm still a newbie compared to everyone else, which i have to remind myself of sometimes because i'll be like- “wait how does this work?” lol xD but that's one of the reasons i love SWC so much, because everyone is so nice and helpful when you get a little lost haha i also really love the SWC community because of how welcoming it is <3 everyone is so kind and it is so great that you get to make friends which i love.

ok enough with my SWC ramble :') let's talk about hobbies! i absolutely LOVE crocheting! what do you usually like to crochet? i am currently working on a project that is a matching skirt and top. i finished the skirt, and am aLmOsT done with the top *sigh* i just have to find motivation to finish it lol. but i usually like crocheting plants and flowers especially because i like assorting them into bouquets i have a bad habit of starting a bunch of crochet projects but then never having the motivation to finish them… xD

what are some of your favorite musical artists? i'm a pop girlie haha- my favorite singers are Gracie Abrams, Olivia Rodrigo, Audrey Hobert, Sombr, Noah Kahan, Olivia Dean, and Sabrina Carpenter! i have been listening to oliva rodrigo's new album ‘you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love’ on repeat for like the past month :') it's soooo good! do you play any instruments? i play the piano, guitar, and ukulele, which i love to play in my free time because music is very fun!

binge watching shows and movies is too real :') i do it way too often bahaha. what are your favorite movies and shows? some of my favorite movies are The Hunger Games, Marvel/MCU (favs are thor ragnarok, guardians of the galaxy, and spider mans!), The Pirates of the Caribbean, Legally Blonde, Wicked, The Greatest Showman, and Newsies! yes i do like musicals too hehe some of my favorite shows are Stranger Things, Wednesday, Outer Banks, and The Artful Dodger! ugh i like so much more but i can't think right now ;-; ooo wait i also love watching SNL and The Tonight Show!

omg i really want to start baking more, but i'm not the very best at it haha :') one thing i will say though is i can make very yummy lemon poppyseed cupcakes! but when it comes to making cookies, brownies, and other things… it probably won't turn out great if i tried lol xD what do you usually like baking? and what is your favorite thing you've every made?

ok enough of my rambles haha, i will wrap this letter up with some questions what is your favorite thing about SWC? how long have you been doing SWC for? what are your favorite books? and where is one place you would love to travel to?

Omg we share so many interests!

I’ll start off with SWC. This session will be my sixth on this account, I did 2 on a different account during maybe around 2022(?). I’ve co-lead once, last July, and it was also in gothic haha! I hope you’re enjoying your first time co-leading because it definitely is such a fun experience My favorite thing about SWC is the community. It’s really cool to see so many writers in one place (even if it’s asynchronous) and also getting to be a part of SWChaos makes me so happy. I also love how welcoming the community is, like you said. It’s definitely a little intimidating to join, especially since it’s been going on for so long and there are some campers that have witnessed the starting days, but everyone really wants to see you succeed and help out.

Okay so crocheting. I don’t really have something I like to crochet the most, I like to try new things. I recently started a new top to try filet crochet and I’ve been enjoying it a lot. I can’t work on it right now though because I’m at my grandma’s house. Currently I’m making a makeup/toiletry pouch for my grandma and I have to speedrun and finish it in 3 days before I leave T^T. I procrastinated and now must suffer the consequences. I love a matching set! I’ve been getting into crocheting wearables after seeing some really pretty ones, let me know how yours goes! I also have that same habit :sob: my crochet motivation is spontaneous and I see people make so many cool things on Pin that I just want to start a new project.

I also am mainly a pop girlie! I like Olivia Rodrigo, Sombr, Olivia Dean, and Sabrina Carpenter. I also like SZA, Bruno Mars, and Laufey. I’ve also been listening to Olivia Rodrigo’s newest album too! Omg it’s so gooooood, what are your favorites from the album? Mine are honeybee (because I keep seeing Ig reels of people using the ‘got to love the way you look at me’ part and it makes me smile and giggle), begged (I saw it on SNL and dang…), and expectations. I taught myself how to play the piano when I was younger, but don’t really play any instruments right now. I used to do choir when I was in middle school. I have mad respect for anyone that does though because that takes a lot of skill .

For favorite movies: La La Land, Free Guy, Wicked, and I can’t think of any others right now. I also have been loving 2000s rom-coms because romance movies now just can’t top those in my opinion. I really want to start watching the Marvel movies but I don’t have Disney+ . For shows, Modern Family, Heated Rivalry, and Brooklyn Nine-Nine. I haven’t watched any of the shows you’ve mentioned yet, but I’m definitely going to put them on the ‘to be watched’ list. I also love SNL and musicals! Any favorite musicals to watch/listen to?

I’m currently reading Project Hail Mary, mainly because I also want to watch the movie. I’m flying back home and I heard that the movie is on the airplane so I’m for sure going to watch it! Some of my other favorite books are: The Inheritance Games, They Both Die At The End, and The Hunger Games. I have so many more favorites but I can’t name titles off the top of my head. I like sci-fi, romance, thriller, dystopian (sometimes), and honestly open to reading anything.

Ooooh lemon poppyseed muffins taste so good! My favorite to bake is probably brownies, because out of all the things I bake they turn out the best. I found a recipe that’s so good and I make it whenever I can. Baking definitely takes experience and practice. My first few times were such a mess and it was alllllmost not edible lol. I really like to try new things to make. Some of the things I’m most proud of are brownie cookies, croissants (they weren’t perfect but croissants taste so good even when you mess up), and a cake I made for my mom’s birthday.

For a place I like to travel too, it would probably be to my grandma’s house. All of my extended family live in the same country, and it takes 20+ hours of traveling by plane to get there. I really love the food and vacation places here. But I absolutely hate how many mosquitos are here.
