That sure sounds like a bug. And there’s supposed to be a 14-day minimum. Even if your account meets all the other requirements, you still must wait 14 days.
Maybe you should put this over in Bugs and Glitches, or find someone else who has encountered a similar (if not the same) issue you have. But from what I can tell, this may be an isolated issue. There’s no reports of it there at the moment.

… I have a 6 year old acc. Still took me 2+ weeks to become scratcher on some accs and other alts are still new scratchers

I also got the same issue in 3 days:

this is normal.
if you have 7 projects. wait 2 days. and that first 1 day is 7 projects You need. so. this is normal. if you dont have 7 projects. then. report this bug to scratch team.

i dont understand what your talking about but ok.

If it happened, it's likely either a glitch, or you are misremembering the amount of time it took for you to become Scratcher. (I actually don't remember being a New Scratcher, myself, although that was nearly 15 years ago.) The standard minimum length of time to become a Scratcher is 2 weeks, but it frequently takes longer than that.
