○ hi guys i'm avia, i use pronouns she/her. i'm also trying out the nickname vee but i don't think it will stick! do dance, hip hop specifically, and have been dancing for years. i also enjoy reading (sometimes </3) and drawing (sometimes) although i have not found the motivation recently which is rather unfortunate. i like to draw here on scratch, but my drawing tablet won't connect to this computer so tbh it's just my finger on the trackpad (or whatever it's called). i'm happily taken! i went into a deep pit of inactivity last year but now i'm back hopefully i'm 14-17, and i'm trying really hard to do well in school so if i'm ever inactive know i'm studying or something. i also love playing minecraft and other video games, and have an unhealthy obsession with arcane. i'm wlw, and asexual most likely ^^ my timezone is est. i'm on from 11 am to around 3 am! ( i love my sleep schedule! )

ꕀ WHY I CHOSE THE KIT ꒱ ⸝⸝ ˖⁺
○ first of all, the design is truly gorgeous. i love the colors and everything on it, and i think somerset did a stunning job! second of all, i haven't been part of windclan, ever, and i kind of wanna try and be part of all the groups with my characters at some point. i also have so many ideas for the kit and a personality i've been cooking up that this is the perfect opportunity to use!
ꕀ WHY SHOULD I WIN ꒱ ⸝⸝ ˖⁺
○ i don't love answering this question because it's almost impossible not to sound entitled. however, i would be able to give this character a nice, long, and hopefully eventful life. i'll be dedicated and try my best to have plot in her life. i think the personality i've come up for her is pretty well thought through, and i'm an active roleplayer.
ꕀ ROLEPLAY EXPERIENCE ꒱ ⸝⸝ ˖⁺
○ i am honestly not sure how long i've been roleplaying, but it's been a while. since maybe 2021? it was whenever i first joined scratch, and my first roleplay ever taught me so much. i was a part of quite a number of now dead roleplays after that, and those helped me grow into the person i am today! i've been roleplaying in tfc for like 2 years and part of tss for one, though i rejoined!! i also was part of generations. to sum it up, i've been roleplaying for a very long time and am excited to hopefully continue that.
ꕀ PAST + CURRENT CHARACTERS ꒱ ⸝⸝ ˖⁺
○ current : suncupdance! fall of 2024, a litter caught my eye. i'd been looking to win a kit from a litter to join tfcrp. my application is the third or fourth project on my old account. suncupdance was signed up in riverclan, and then she became the medicine cat apprentice and got to know heri and everyone else. she lost her entire family, getting angry at starclan and death itself. she survived the great journey, tried get her sister oleander back, but to no avail. she's honestly grown so much and i love her a lot. however, she's nearing 100 moons, and i think it may be her time to go very soon, whether or not i win crimsonkit. if it wasn't clear, this would be the character that would open up a slot.
○ current : orioleplight! i won her from @_cinnamoncat_'s litter back in may 2025, and i love her dearly. she resides in shadowclan, but i do have a plot with her coming up that will cause her to end up in skyclan for a little while. she will lose her memory and those she loves will have to remind her of who she truly is. she also has a litter out. please go check it out here. the designs are not getting enough love (yes this is shameless advertising,, sorry) i'm hopefully gonna do a lot more with ori until she hits the old age limit, though it will probably be sometime in the fall when more people are active. i plan for her to have a couple of more litters, maybe, and character growth relating to maybe rushing into a relationship with the wrong cat and getting hurt? we'll have to see.
○ current : conquête! i won him from a litter recently, and he's going to be a loner. he's just recently been accepted, thankfully, after a bit of waiting, so i can finally rp! unfortunately for him, he doesn't speak a lick of english, so he's gonna be super interesting to roleplay! i'm finding friends and stuff for him right now! his sort of theme is “the three hearts of an octopus” (you can figure out what that means lolol) and he will have an octopus orchid accessory. i'm very excited.
○ past: hollowheart! if i'm being honest i would not count him as a real character. i have no idea what i was thinking when i made her, but he was meant to be a placeholder character. however, she did adopt two kits, and lived to 46 moons. he then had to be killed off so i could open up a slot for orioleplight! she had practically nothing going on but i think having an open slot was driving me nuts or smth /j
○ past : dewoath / dew's gleam! i won them from @froggola's “woodland whispers” litter. he was sort of gruff, and was originally part of shadowclan. however, upon beesonnet's death, they fled from shadowclan and impulsively joined the angel's choir, not sure what he was doing, deeply regretting it, and becoming a loner. he received the name dew's gleam but it never really stuck, and when he died, trying to return to his kits, who he'd abandoned due to grieving for his mother, he decided he wanted to be known as dewoath. he lived until 80 moons and died from an unknown animal attack.
ꕀ ACTIVITY ꒱ ⸝⸝ ˖⁺
○ before my hiatus/inactivity, i'd say i was at around like a 9.5 or something out of 10, due to the fact that i was a huge screen-ager and constantly checking scratch. over my break, i'd say i dropped to around a 2 or 3, unfortunately. now that i'm back, i'd say currently, since it's summer, i'm at around a 9.5/10 yet again, but during the year i think i can stay at around a 7 or 8! i do try to check scratch as often as possible, though!
ꕀ LONGEVITY ꒱ ⸝⸝ ˖⁺
○ as you can see from my characters section, i usually keep my characters for around like 70, maybe 80 moons? sunny, if i killed her off for this kit, would be ~97 moons. orioleplight will not be going anywhere for another while. i believe i could keep this kit at least her 60s, if not longer!
ꕀ HARM NOTES ꒱ ⸝⸝ ˖⁺
○ physically, i don't harm my characters that often. i believe in the idea that every scar tells a story– crimson should be able to look back on a scar and remember what it's from. scars should teach a lesson, or be relevant to plot or character development. i used to pointlessly hurt my characters, but looking back, that wasn't the best strategy and definitely not the best for their arcs! this was years ago, though, and i was a lot younger. if you look at the characters i currently have, i've only really given them a couple of scars.
○ mentally, most of my characters go through an emo/depressed phase due to deaths of their family members and the nature of activity checks. this also usually happens for plot/character growth, though, not just pointless harm. i try to not overdo it.

she was young when she understood that rosebriar wanted her to be perfect
that he wanted her to sustain the family image
she understood that in order to be loved, she would need to be perfect
she views herself as undeserving of love, and unable to love at the same time
her version of love is obsession
her version of herself is a mask, a wall, shielding her
she memorizes everything about those she loves
their routine
their favorite color
the way they look at her even once
she believes this will make her impossible to leave, and them impossible to lose
the closer they become, the tighter her grip on them
she practically worships, but worship is not love
it's distance, coldness, isolation, dressed as devotion
you cannot love someone from a pedestal.
she is cold
she can comfort someone while anticipating their downfall
she does not fear being hated
she fears being known
she is bluebeard, keeping a room of herself hidden inside of her.

ꕀ DETAILED PERSONALITY ꒱ ⸝⸝ ˖⁺
○ though you can kind of see it from the character concept, i will talk some more about her. this will be pretty ramble-y!
○ crimson, at her core, is a cat who is deeply afraid. not of danger, but of being unwanted, replaceable, and truly seen. she spends her life trying to hide, to become someone impossible to leave. she fears rejection and abandonment. her perfectionism comes from insecurity. she's very self-critical, worrying she's not good enough. she believes she must be better than others, must be needed, in order to be loved. she's hardworking. she pushes herself hard, hunting for her clan. her discipline allows her to do this despite hardships. she's dedicated, and reliable– if you ask her to hunt, or do something, she will, and she'll do it well. she's charismatic, getting people to like her and listen to her in order to get what she wants and protect herself. reserved and independent, the maroon cat works on her own. she prefers doing things alone and is able to, exploring and spending time in the night without anyone by her side. yet she is emotionally dependent, craving approval and letting those she looks up to define her self-worth. she's functions well alone, but relies on others to give her her value. crimson is calculating, analytical, and observant. she notices things others may miss and reads into them. she views things as something she can figure out. her competitiveness is another of her traits that causes her to work so hard due to it, wanting to be better than the other cats, especially those that she might be jealous of. she's obsessive. she doesn't love halfway. she worships, viewing them as perfect. she learns everything about them. she's possessive, fearing losing them. she loves so desperately she wants to control others. she needs to have control. if she's not perfect, if she doesn't control the situation, she worries she'll drop her key and then everyone will see her how she really is. they will leave. when someone gets too close to her, her avoidant personality kicks in, and she shuts them out and panics if the see a part of her she tries to keep hidden.
ꕀ IDEAS ꒱ ⸝⸝ ˖⁺
○ she will probably stay in windclan for a lot of her life!
○ i could see her getting an accessory or something to wear each time her “key” is “ruined.” each time she messes up, she might do this as a reminder. symbolism! maybe flowers, maybe something else. below, i've pulled some songs/trends (whatever you wanna call them) that represent her, in my opinion. they're also some of my favorite songs so take that how you will.
○ changeling
- based on changeling (by lydia the bard). targeted at rosebriar, but also at herself. i suggest you take a look at the lyrics. i think the song would be perfect for her. it represents her character, but also could be used for a srp in the future. she would get angry, crash out, and then maybe run away, overwhelmed with the need to constantly perfect. “control your expression, control control control.” i think this line really represents her because of the mask she wears and how desperately she needs control. the song also says, “i wish i was somebody else,” which ties in with her jealousy. inspired by @_weaselkabob's animatic they made to this song, i could try to do something similar (with permission of course). i would do a little animation, or maybe just art, as well as a srp about it. i actually did know of this song when i created the character concept, but it fits so well…
○ some lines that stick out to me + how they tie to crimson. forgive the rambley-ness of my explanation.
“i'm not meant to be here / and they'll all see it soon” — striving for perfection, desperate, worried others will see behind her mask and see the real her. if they see the real her, they'll see how wrong and ruined she is.
“the human displaying / but it's all out of tune” — reflects how she's trying to seem like the perfect cat/daughter, but she feels like its “out of tune” due to the fact that she views herself as ruined inside
“i'm a warped reflection” — same as above, ruined inside
“mending cracks with glue / i'm racing to fix them” — she needs to fix any and all imperfections she has, before anyone sees them
“control your expression / control, control, control” — reflects her need to have control in the situation.
“lost to those who named me” — referring to rosebriar, who named her. she made crim into who she is now
“try to play the part” — playing the part of the perfect daughter and cat, masking herself
“but all you really want's to change me” — how she adapts herself to fit what people want from her.
“change me” — she views others as the ones who are affecting her, and she changes herself to fit what they want so they ‘love’ her.
“don't you know i wish that i was somebody else too?” — she wishes she didn't have to uphold this image sometimes, and she wishes she wasn't, in her opinion, ruined and imperfect on the inside. she wishes she was someone else, that it was all different.
“lost to those who named me” — referring to rosebriar and how she's shaped herself to match his wishes
○ jealousy, jealousy
- based on jealousy, jealousy by olivia rodrigo, to show how jealous she feels of those who she thinks have it ‘easy’. perhaps targeted at someone specific, someone who she is extremely envious of but never dares show. this could represent her inner turmoil.
○ what do you want to be when you grow up? kind
- another animation idea, inspired by @flyrat's animation of heartbreakhaven as well as the others i've seen, where i use the audio and it's crimson as a kit, and she is asked what she wants to be when she grows up. she answers “kind” and then the faces of those she's hurt and manipulated flash, one after another, ending with rosebriar
○ do i look like him?
- just a small artwork thing of crimson side by side with rosebriar. maybe a srp.
○ summer child
- by conan gray. this is the quieter ache in her, i imagine. everything she keeps buried under the surface.she lies, she covers herself up.
“you see all the flowers in the weeds” –> collects flowers, sees the good in them, why not herself? she sees the beauty in other things and is jealous of how they don't need to be perfect but she does.
“your father was awfully mean” –> rosebriar wanted the perfect family, and crim spends all this time trying to become the perfect daughter for her. she hides her flaws. though he isn't cruel, she's the one that shaped crimson's view of the world.
“you don't have to act like all you feel is mild” –> her mask, how she doesn't let herself express herself due to the fear of being imperfect. she suppresses all those emotions and keeps them buried.
“you don't really love the sun, it drives you wild.”
“you're lying, summer child.”
○ i know, i know, i know
- by ALINA. she hurts someone she genuinely loved. weeks later, she keeps replaying it in her head. she thinks through imaginary conversations, what she'd say if they came back.
ꕀ PLANS / ARC ꒱ ⸝⸝ ˖⁺
- tying in with what i said above, these ideas are based off of those and how i imagine her character would go. this is not in any way finalized, it's just some ideas that i've laid out.
i. daughter of roses
○ this is the beginning. crim is sweet and loving, eager to please. rosebriar has not yet begun to be controlling like she does later in the kits' lives. crimson begins striving to match rosebriar's expectations, building a mask for herself without realizing. she just wants roxie to be proud of her. she's very observant and is good at noticing little details, like realizing someone is upset. not because she's trying to manipulate them, but because she genuinely cares. her father already views her as practically perfect, and she is a very pretty kit. many like her, and she cannot bear to disappoint.
○ personality ideas:
+ thoughtful, gentle, sweet, patient
= quiet, perfectionistic, observant, clever
- sensitive to criticism, praise-seeking, self-critical
○ detailed: crimson is a gentle, thoughtful kitten who genuinely wants to make others happy. she notices the little things amiss, things that others may just breeze over, and helps however she can. she is patient and kind, preferring peaceful activities like staying inside of the nursery and watching the outside go by, watching birds fly by occasionally, than play-fighting or making plans to escape the camp. she is rather perfectionistic, though. she's hard on herself whenever she makes mistakes and dwells on her small failures long after everyone else has forgotten. praise is very important to her, especially from rosebriar. if she doesn't give her enough praise, she may be upset about it. any criticism from her will linger in crimson's mind, and she will begin tying her worth to others' approval. she often watched before acting, learning about others through careful observation. at first, this comes from genuinely caring, but that kindness slowly transforms into something more controlling as she grows.
○ she wants to be good more than anything as a kit, loving deeply and wanting others to be happy. her desire for perfection starts with just that, wanting to bring joy to others rather than a desire for control. she notices how rosebriar views her as perfect already, and she is afraid of disappointing. maybe he'll express some kind of dissatisfaction, and she will spiral about it and feel like her mistakes make her less worthy of loving.
ii. changeling
○ her apprenticeship and early warriorhood. she realizes she's slowly changing, adapting herself to fit the wishes of rosebriar and others she looks up to. she hasn't learned to cope with the pressure yet, and the stress begins getting to her. one night, she snaps. she escapes camp, maybe running away for a night, screaming, breaking something, crying. then she comes back, the mask stronger than ever, realizing she can't ever slip up like that again. the srp to changeling would probably be the climax of this. this may happen after the key is stained. or it may happen later than her apprenticeship.
○ personality ideas:
+ disciplined, reliable, dedicated, charsimatic

○ detailed: (content)
○ she is the apprentice that all the kits look up to, that every mentor wants. she seems mature beyond her moons, but under the surface, she feels like the pressure is getting to her, and she's so young.. it begins to get in her head that she needs to be useful to be loved, and she hides her imperfections.
iii. the key
○ warriorhood. the bluebeard metaphor is central to this part. she's perfected herself, she's loveable. she grows from “i want others to be happy with me!” to “i need others to be happy with me” to “i need to be perfect so others are happy with me.” she grows into the personality i have planned for her, changing and becoming more obsessive and possessive. she manipulates others and hides her true self. she becomes obsessed with her flaws and her mistakes.
iv. jealousy, jealousy
○ she's jealous of everyone who seems to be happy, everyone who has someone who loves them whether or not they're perfect, of everyone who allows themselves to make mistakes. maybe at this point she'd have a specific individual, perhaps even one of her siblings(?) that she is extremely envious of. of course, crim holds rosebriar's love, but maybe these siblings are also loved, and they don't have to strive for perfection like her. she may obsess over their differences, and try to plan their downfall because she is jealous and fears losing rosebriar's love.
v. what do you want to be when you grow up?
○ the animatic i mentioned above, in the ideas section. with every cat she's hurt flashing by her face. i don't think this would come with a srp, but maybe it would be something similar to a dream. regret. she just feels regret.
vi. stained keys
○ her trying to open up, trying to love. her key comes back stained. none of these are actually ruining her key, ruining her, but she views it as such. she can't bear for it to be ruined. vulnerability, fear, embarrassment, attachment,
- maybe she makes gifts for her siblings, and they forget about them. she is hurt. her mind twists it into her not being good enough, and she becomes more reserved.
- maybe rosebriar praises her siblings over her. she doesn't mean anything by it, of course, but in crim's mind, it's proof that she wasn't good enough. maybe she thinks back and realizes she'd dropped her mask earlier that day, and blames it on herself. after this, she will also do things like remind rosebriar of her achievements, rather than those of her siblings', and try to bring them down, quietly.
- maybe she lets herself get close to someone, someone who is kind to her, and slowly lets herself open up more and more until something happens. she messes up, they argue, they leave. she loses that cat. her key is stained, all because she opened the door to her true self.
- maybe she finds a bird, injured. maybe she tries to nurse it back to life, and someone catches her. maybe they talk about it, and crim opens up a little about her obsession, and they agree and smile. however, the bird dies, and then later someone else brings it up with her. maybe she realizes that she shouldn't have told them anything. maybe she's asked something along the lines of “do you actually like this?”
- maybe she cries in front of someone, and feels like they view her different ever since. the door opens. she feels humiliated.
- she tries loving. it's this cat she's had a crush on for so long. they're amazing, in her eyes, not ruined and rotting like her. they confess. they get close, she opens up, reveals her true self. and then crim messes it up, somehow. she'll shut down, will avoid that person, or maybe pretend that it was all fake and she was just manipulating them. that she never let down her mask, her walls. she'll hurt them. her key will be stained.
- she reveals something and they smile and laugh and like it. and she is terrified. she slams the door shut, running from them, closing herself off yet again.
- she leads those who like her on, unable to deal with losing them and manipulating them into thinking she likes them back
vii. the room
○ she finally lets someone love her, gets close to someone, slowly. maybe they catch her off guard. they forgive her when she hurts or manipulates them. they forgive her flaws and mistakes. it would be a slow burn, and at last, she lets the key she was clutching drop. it hits the ground, but it doesn't matter. they see it, and they don't care. they don't care if it's imperfect. they don't try to fix her. they love her how she is, anxious and fearful of them leaving. and she heals, slowly. the key never becomes clean again, but it's her life. it shows she's loved, lost, and lived.
ꕀ FUTURE IDENTITY ꒱ ⸝⸝ ˖⁺
○ i haven't completely decided, but i imagine crimson would probably stay cis or female-aligned for the majority of her life. i don't see this as something she's going to care much about, always just viewing herself the same way she's always been. she will probably be using pronouns she/her. although maybe she would try out some others too? like she/fae?
○ lesbian in the future, or perhaps sapphic. i don't see her caring too much about the cat's gender identity, but i do think she will want them to be female-aligned. she will try out guys for a bit, thinking she likes them, then decide she's bi, and then settle on lesbian/sapphic. she may also be berrisexual, though, primarily attracted to female and female-aligned cats, or androgynous ones, and having a lesser attraction to males.
○ eye candy: it doesn't matter to her too much, but they have to be pretty. she likes big eyes, and would like them to be physically bigger than her to sort of protect her or possibly serve as a pillow in the future. they can be taller or shorter. even if she is attracted to someone, though, she will push them away until she can accept loving. they need to be gentle and understanding, and not push her.
- she would still feel attraction to cats, but never act on it for fear of them seeing who she really is, making her somewhat awkward around them.
ꕀ DYNAMICS ꒱ ⸝⸝ ˖⁺
○ rosebriar: views rosebriar as the center of her perception of everything. she bases herself off of her expectations and wishes for her daughter. crimson desperately needs his approval and love, upholding the perfect image just for her. she memorizes all the little details about him, thinking that is the way to get him to love her. and it works, somewhat. as long as she stays perfect, she views their relationship as good. maybe she grows to be the favorite. she even manipulates her siblings in order to further solidify her place as the favorite. rosebriar is who has shaped her into who she is, along with her own mind, trapping her in the perfect image she feels the need to uphold and the mind she views as rotting. she was already a perfectionist beforehand, but due to her, it's been amplified.
○ wraithkit: crimson has rather mixed feelings about her sister. they're something similar to mirror images, yet one is twisted one way, the second the other way. she understands the obsession, understands the lies, understands the fear and the need to be perfect. yet they execute it in different ways. wraith is hateful of the world, which crimson does not understand. what had the world done to her? she understands the self-loathing, though. she gets it so much that it hurts. they desire the forbidden, mirror images, yet different. crim wonders how she can have so much anger and fury, and maybe understands some of it, what she keeps buried. strangely enough, she feels jealous of the way rai dislikes rosebriar. she seems to care about her love and attention less than crimson's thought possible.

○ the type of kit to stay inside of the nursery all day rather than explore. she goes out of the nursery pretty rarely, only to see things. other kits her age are out exploring and playing outside, she dozes inside of the nursery and collects cool-looking rocks she can find instead of playfighting. even as a kit, she never steps out of line, always striving to be perfect. she is a perfectionist to start with, and rosebriar's expectations make it even worse. as an apprentice, she would also prefer to stay in the apprentice den, but also enjoy hunting alone. she would explore abandoned spots in her free time (when she's in the mood of course) and collect cool things she can find like butterfly wings and any gemstones. she will go along with whatever her mentor tells her! this is where her obsession with being perfect will begin, as well as the fear beginning to eat her inside. once she becomes a warrior, i imagine she will just do whatever, staying up late collecting things and exploring, then sleeping into the day. would probably only go out in the late afternoon to night, and spend the rest of her time alone in some spot she likes or inside of a den. at this point, she will view herself as ruined and desperate, needing to be perfect.
○ she's a little bird nerd, watching them for hours and learning random facts about them. i imagine she'd climb up to their nests and peer inside to see how they're built, maybe collect pretty feathers she found. she may also refuse to eat or kiII birds, or “accidentally” scare them away when she needs to (as an apprentice). i imagine this would conflict with her wishing to do what others, specifically her mentor, where she wants to please them and do what they're telling her to, but at the same time doesn't want to harm the bird. it would probably come out to her doing whatever she is asked, leading to some internal conflict. if she sees a dead bird, she may get a few tears in her eyes, especially as a younger cat, devastated at seeing one dead. she would hold a proper funeral and mourn it.
○ she loves moths! they're nocturnal creatures just like her. they are very pretty and mesmerizing, and she loves watching them flutter around, curiosity in her eyes. she doesn't understand why they're viewed as worse than butterflies. she loves both of them, but moths have a special place in her heart. she would be okay with receiving butterfly wings as a gift, in fact, she would appreciate that, but she would not like moth wings. she doesn't believe they should die/be kiIIed, even if it wasn't by the cat gifting them to her. this may cause conflict with a well-meaning individual in the future, though not for long. she'll forgive them, of course, but it may make her a bit sad. maybe in the future this changes.. symbolism somehow?
○ crim tends to stay up very late, needing alone time to recharge. it is very peaceful then, and she is able to be without a mask or anything. it's also sometimes due to the inability to sleep, or just the wish to do things alone, without being bothered. it's not the healthiest for her, leading her to wake later as well, though this doesn't bother her unless she needs to get up earlier for some reason. she explores abandoned places during the night, as well as maybe wandering to the twolegplace a couple of times, as a warrior? she would be curious and want to see, maybe get jumpscared by something and flee back to windclan camp, then spend a couple of hours, fuming about it, rather ashamed.
○ she genuinely loves kits. she just has a soft spot for them. she drops her mask around them most times, doesn't control her words or facial expressions. she's gentle and kind, letting them see her for who she is. of course, once they grow up, she often does have her walls in place, but she remembers them from when they were younger.
○ she's extremely possessive of people, but very generous with objects. she shares pretty often, and although sometimes it is selfishly motivated to get them to like her, she gives away things she treasures with the hopes of making them smile. if it makes them smile, it's worth more in their paws than hers. maybe she finds something really pretty and someone says it looks great. she'd immediately give it away, and though maybe it will feel like a loss, it will also feel worth it to her. she might start out giving things to make others like her, and then end up gifting because it brings her joy. this ties in with her acts of service because she gifts people these things thoughtfully. someone may mention they don't like their nest or it's uncomfy, and she will figure out a way to fix it for them. or maybe they say their sleeping place is boring, so she'd find thoughtful gifts for them to decorate with. if a gift is ignored or discarded, she's hurt more than she likes to admit. it's a mixture of sincere affection and the belief that love must be earned.
○ crimson speaks with carefully chosen words, her voice somewhat low. it's a little on the fast side, but she pauses sometimes to think about where she's gonna go with her sentence. the thought of saying something she can't take back terrifies her.
○ when she argues, her voice is tense. she's cold and logical, often slipping in passive-aggressive remarks if she's hurt. she dismantles the other's arguments rather than yelling. she can't afford to lose control, but she needs to win the argument. if she ends up losing control, she may raise her voice.
○ when she's embarrassed, her ears may flatten to her head a little, and she becomes more closed off and defensive. she may begin smoothing her fur down, especially if it rose a little.
○ ree has somewhat dry, understated humor. rather than telling jokes, she makes quiet observations with a straight face. for example, if someone was to proudly say, “i could probably catch that rabbit.” she might simply reply with something like, “you've tripped over your own paws twice today, are you sure?” she may let it hang in the air. for a bit, staying silent and then crack a smile at her own joke. she also tends to make deadpan comments, which is also what get her laughing. she laughs at silly things she sees in nature, deadpan comments, and ironic timing. i imagine a conversation with her going something like. “i'm not worried someone's following me!” crimson: “is that why you've checked behind you four times already?” she notices things about others, and makes these comments about them. they aren't negative, they're affectionate. there isn't chaotic laughter that ensues wherever she goes, but she's funny nonetheless.
○ crimson doesn't often laugh loudly. she may exhale through her nose, raising her eyebrows a little. she may scoff. often times she lets out a little dry chuckle. however, if she sees something as really funny, she may snort, though it sounds somewhat like a scoff.
○ i could see her falling for someone with a bunch of tiny little imperfections that she grows to love over time. messy fur, crooked whiskers.. those flaws that make them more lovable, while her flaws are unforgivable. but why?

- view on social heirarchy: she thinks its really important to understand what it is and how it works, but thinks its like a popularity contest. views it negatively, but finds it useful nonetheless.
- view on riverclan: thinks it's odd that these cats eat fish all the time. fish is not the best food, in her opinion, not even close to one of her favorites. she will only eat it if necessary
- views on shadowclan: likes how they are nocturnal. she loves the night and all its secrets, as well as the peace and quiet. other than that, she doesn't know much about shadowclan.
- views on thunderclan: does not care about thunderclan at all.
- views on skyclan: she thinks their camp sounds very cool and would love to visit at some point.
- view on windclan: loves it, but wishes there were more trees.
- view on herself: she sees herself as imperfect and in need of fixing, rotting inside

- love language: probably acts of service, she believes she needs to be useful to others and that is how she's used to expressing her love/other feelings. this is not the best view, but it's hard for her to change. she will not be one for words, not once her partner is truly someone she's okay with seeing the real her. her smoothness and words are a ruse, and if she wants to be genuine with them then it will feel fake and odd using words of affirmation. i imagine she will slowly grow accustomed to physical touch and even enjoy it! as for quality time, she also values it a lot, but prefers to express her love in other ways.
- what sense she most relies on: she most relies on her hearing and sight, knowing that these are the best tricks for paying attention to others. she can see their body language and small changes in facial expressions, and can hear the small intakes of breath or whispers of conversation.
- eating habits: doesn't eat that much, often not hungry and has poor appetite. she either eats close to nothing or a lot, no in between.
- favorite traits to see in other cats: loyalty, kindness
- least favorite traits to see in other cats: blind love and those who view the world through rose-tinted glasses
- accessories: choker thorn necklace!! she views it as a sort of collar, sort of like the kittypets have, confining her to perfection and the life she currently lives in. after her arc starts/ at any point during it, she may abandon it (if allowed by the designer). however, i can also see her keeping it as a sort of reminder; she has roses in her fur already, and she thinks they're very pretty values them, especially because they came from rosebriar; also, probably would wear some kind of flowers or plants in the areas she's ashamed of, like any future scars or spots she over-cleaned to shield herself. after all, flowers are prettier than imperfections. i would love for her to have some sort of earrings or butterfly wings in her fur as well, as she loves those dearly.
- notes: slightly curled whiskers and curled fur, especially around her face, chest, and tail. medium length.
- most treasured items: she treasures gifts the most, viewing them as something special since they're from others.
- reaction to love confession: probably shocked, though would recover quickly. she doesn't believe someone can genuinely love her, and she is not willing to love them back due to the fact that she doesn't want them to see the real her. she may believe they're trying to manipulate her, depending on who it is. if it's someone close to her she might lead them on, using them to her advantage and pretending to love them back, not wanting to badly hurt them.

○ first of all, the design is truly gorgeous. i love the colors and everything on it, and i think somerset did a stunning job! second of all, i haven't been part of windclan, ever, and i kind of wanna try and be part of all the groups with my characters at some point. i also have so many ideas for the kit and a personality i've been cooking up that this is the perfect opportunity to use!

○ i don't love answering this question because it's almost impossible not to sound entitled. however, i would be able to give this character a nice, long, and hopefully eventful life. i'll be dedicated and try my best to have plot in her life. i think the personality i've come up for her is pretty well thought through, and i'm an active roleplayer.

○ i am honestly not sure how long i've been roleplaying, but it's been a while. since maybe 2021? it was whenever i first joined scratch, and my first roleplay ever taught me so much. i was a part of quite a number of now dead roleplays after that, and those helped me grow into the person i am today! i've been roleplaying in tfc for like 2 years and part of tss for one, though i rejoined!! i also was part of generations. to sum it up, i've been roleplaying for a very long time and am excited to hopefully continue that.

○ current : suncupdance! fall of 2024, a litter caught my eye. i'd been looking to win a kit from a litter to join tfcrp. my application is the third or fourth project on my old account. suncupdance was signed up in riverclan, and then she became the medicine cat apprentice and got to know heri and everyone else. she lost her entire family, getting angry at starclan and death itself. she survived the great journey, tried get her sister oleander back, but to no avail. she's honestly grown so much and i love her a lot. however, she's nearing 100 moons, and i think it may be her time to go very soon, whether or not i win crimsonkit. if it wasn't clear, this would be the character that would open up a slot.
○ current : orioleplight! i won her from @_cinnamoncat_'s litter back in may 2025, and i love her dearly. she resides in shadowclan, but i do have a plot with her coming up that will cause her to end up in skyclan for a little while. she will lose her memory and those she loves will have to remind her of who she truly is. she also has a litter out. please go check it out here. the designs are not getting enough love (yes this is shameless advertising,, sorry) i'm hopefully gonna do a lot more with ori until she hits the old age limit, though it will probably be sometime in the fall when more people are active. i plan for her to have a couple of more litters, maybe, and character growth relating to maybe rushing into a relationship with the wrong cat and getting hurt? we'll have to see.
○ current : conquête! i won him from a litter recently, and he's going to be a loner. he's just recently been accepted, thankfully, after a bit of waiting, so i can finally rp! unfortunately for him, he doesn't speak a lick of english, so he's gonna be super interesting to roleplay! i'm finding friends and stuff for him right now! his sort of theme is “the three hearts of an octopus” (you can figure out what that means lolol) and he will have an octopus orchid accessory. i'm very excited.
○ past: hollowheart! if i'm being honest i would not count him as a real character. i have no idea what i was thinking when i made her, but he was meant to be a placeholder character. however, she did adopt two kits, and lived to 46 moons. he then had to be killed off so i could open up a slot for orioleplight! she had practically nothing going on but i think having an open slot was driving me nuts or smth /j
○ past : dewoath / dew's gleam! i won them from @froggola's “woodland whispers” litter. he was sort of gruff, and was originally part of shadowclan. however, upon beesonnet's death, they fled from shadowclan and impulsively joined the angel's choir, not sure what he was doing, deeply regretting it, and becoming a loner. he received the name dew's gleam but it never really stuck, and when he died, trying to return to his kits, who he'd abandoned due to grieving for his mother, he decided he wanted to be known as dewoath. he lived until 80 moons and died from an unknown animal attack.

○ before my hiatus/inactivity, i'd say i was at around like a 9.5 or something out of 10, due to the fact that i was a huge screen-ager and constantly checking scratch. over my break, i'd say i dropped to around a 2 or 3, unfortunately. now that i'm back, i'd say currently, since it's summer, i'm at around a 9.5/10 yet again, but during the year i think i can stay at around a 7 or 8! i do try to check scratch as often as possible, though!

○ as you can see from my characters section, i usually keep my characters for around like 70, maybe 80 moons? sunny, if i killed her off for this kit, would be ~97 moons. orioleplight will not be going anywhere for another while. i believe i could keep this kit at least her 60s, if not longer!

○ physically, i don't harm my characters that often. i believe in the idea that every scar tells a story– crimson should be able to look back on a scar and remember what it's from. scars should teach a lesson, or be relevant to plot or character development. i used to pointlessly hurt my characters, but looking back, that wasn't the best strategy and definitely not the best for their arcs! this was years ago, though, and i was a lot younger. if you look at the characters i currently have, i've only really given them a couple of scars.
○ mentally, most of my characters go through an emo/depressed phase due to deaths of their family members and the nature of activity checks. this also usually happens for plot/character growth, though, not just pointless harm. i try to not overdo it.

○ though you can kind of see it from the character concept, i will talk some more about her. this will be pretty ramble-y!
○ crimson, at her core, is a cat who is deeply afraid. not of danger, but of being unwanted, replaceable, and truly seen. she spends her life trying to hide, to become someone impossible to leave. she fears rejection and abandonment. her perfectionism comes from insecurity. she's very self-critical, worrying she's not good enough. she believes she must be better than others, must be needed, in order to be loved. she's hardworking. she pushes herself hard, hunting for her clan. her discipline allows her to do this despite hardships. she's dedicated, and reliable– if you ask her to hunt, or do something, she will, and she'll do it well. she's charismatic, getting people to like her and listen to her in order to get what she wants and protect herself. reserved and independent, the maroon cat works on her own. she prefers doing things alone and is able to, exploring and spending time in the night without anyone by her side. yet she is emotionally dependent, craving approval and letting those she looks up to define her self-worth. she's functions well alone, but relies on others to give her her value. crimson is calculating, analytical, and observant. she notices things others may miss and reads into them. she views things as something she can figure out. her competitiveness is another of her traits that causes her to work so hard due to it, wanting to be better than the other cats, especially those that she might be jealous of. she's obsessive. she doesn't love halfway. she worships, viewing them as perfect. she learns everything about them. she's possessive, fearing losing them. she loves so desperately she wants to control others. she needs to have control. if she's not perfect, if she doesn't control the situation, she worries she'll drop her key and then everyone will see her how she really is. they will leave. when someone gets too close to her, her avoidant personality kicks in, and she shuts them out and panics if the see a part of her she tries to keep hidden.

○ i could see her getting an accessory or something to wear each time her “key” is “ruined.” each time she messes up, she might do this as a reminder. symbolism! maybe flowers, maybe something else. below, i've pulled some songs/trends (whatever you wanna call them) that represent her, in my opinion. they're also some of my favorite songs so take that how you will.
○ changeling
- based on changeling (by lydia the bard). targeted at rosebriar, but also at herself. i suggest you take a look at the lyrics. i think the song would be perfect for her. it represents her character, but also could be used for a srp in the future. she would get angry, crash out, and then maybe run away, overwhelmed with the need to constantly perfect. “control your expression, control control control.” i think this line really represents her because of the mask she wears and how desperately she needs control. the song also says, “i wish i was somebody else,” which ties in with her jealousy. inspired by @_weaselkabob's animatic they made to this song, i could try to do something similar (with permission of course). i would do a little animation, or maybe just art, as well as a srp about it. i actually did know of this song when i created the character concept, but it fits so well…
○ some lines that stick out to me + how they tie to crimson. forgive the rambley-ness of my explanation.
“i'm not meant to be here / and they'll all see it soon” — striving for perfection, desperate, worried others will see behind her mask and see the real her. if they see the real her, they'll see how wrong and ruined she is.
“the human displaying / but it's all out of tune” — reflects how she's trying to seem like the perfect cat/daughter, but she feels like its “out of tune” due to the fact that she views herself as ruined inside
“i'm a warped reflection” — same as above, ruined inside
“mending cracks with glue / i'm racing to fix them” — she needs to fix any and all imperfections she has, before anyone sees them
“control your expression / control, control, control” — reflects her need to have control in the situation.
“lost to those who named me” — referring to rosebriar, who named her. she made crim into who she is now
“try to play the part” — playing the part of the perfect daughter and cat, masking herself
“but all you really want's to change me” — how she adapts herself to fit what people want from her.
“change me” — she views others as the ones who are affecting her, and she changes herself to fit what they want so they ‘love’ her.
“don't you know i wish that i was somebody else too?” — she wishes she didn't have to uphold this image sometimes, and she wishes she wasn't, in her opinion, ruined and imperfect on the inside. she wishes she was someone else, that it was all different.
“lost to those who named me” — referring to rosebriar and how she's shaped herself to match his wishes
○ jealousy, jealousy
- based on jealousy, jealousy by olivia rodrigo, to show how jealous she feels of those who she thinks have it ‘easy’. perhaps targeted at someone specific, someone who she is extremely envious of but never dares show. this could represent her inner turmoil.
○ what do you want to be when you grow up? kind
- another animation idea, inspired by @flyrat's animation of heartbreakhaven as well as the others i've seen, where i use the audio and it's crimson as a kit, and she is asked what she wants to be when she grows up. she answers “kind” and then the faces of those she's hurt and manipulated flash, one after another, ending with rosebriar
○ do i look like him?
- just a small artwork thing of crimson side by side with rosebriar. maybe a srp.
○ summer child
- by conan gray. this is the quieter ache in her, i imagine. everything she keeps buried under the surface.she lies, she covers herself up.
“you see all the flowers in the weeds” –> collects flowers, sees the good in them, why not herself? she sees the beauty in other things and is jealous of how they don't need to be perfect but she does.
“your father was awfully mean” –> rosebriar wanted the perfect family, and crim spends all this time trying to become the perfect daughter for her. she hides her flaws. though he isn't cruel, she's the one that shaped crimson's view of the world.
“you don't have to act like all you feel is mild” –> her mask, how she doesn't let herself express herself due to the fear of being imperfect. she suppresses all those emotions and keeps them buried.

○ i know, i know, i know
- by ALINA. she hurts someone she genuinely loved. weeks later, she keeps replaying it in her head. she thinks through imaginary conversations, what she'd say if they came back.

- tying in with what i said above, these ideas are based off of those and how i imagine her character would go. this is not in any way finalized, it's just some ideas that i've laid out.
i. daughter of roses
○ this is the beginning. crim is sweet and loving, eager to please. rosebriar has not yet begun to be controlling like she does later in the kits' lives. crimson begins striving to match rosebriar's expectations, building a mask for herself without realizing. she just wants roxie to be proud of her. she's very observant and is good at noticing little details, like realizing someone is upset. not because she's trying to manipulate them, but because she genuinely cares. her father already views her as practically perfect, and she is a very pretty kit. many like her, and she cannot bear to disappoint.
○ personality ideas:

= quiet, perfectionistic, observant, clever
- sensitive to criticism, praise-seeking, self-critical
○ detailed: crimson is a gentle, thoughtful kitten who genuinely wants to make others happy. she notices the little things amiss, things that others may just breeze over, and helps however she can. she is patient and kind, preferring peaceful activities like staying inside of the nursery and watching the outside go by, watching birds fly by occasionally, than play-fighting or making plans to escape the camp. she is rather perfectionistic, though. she's hard on herself whenever she makes mistakes and dwells on her small failures long after everyone else has forgotten. praise is very important to her, especially from rosebriar. if she doesn't give her enough praise, she may be upset about it. any criticism from her will linger in crimson's mind, and she will begin tying her worth to others' approval. she often watched before acting, learning about others through careful observation. at first, this comes from genuinely caring, but that kindness slowly transforms into something more controlling as she grows.
○ she wants to be good more than anything as a kit, loving deeply and wanting others to be happy. her desire for perfection starts with just that, wanting to bring joy to others rather than a desire for control. she notices how rosebriar views her as perfect already, and she is afraid of disappointing. maybe he'll express some kind of dissatisfaction, and she will spiral about it and feel like her mistakes make her less worthy of loving.
ii. changeling
○ her apprenticeship and early warriorhood. she realizes she's slowly changing, adapting herself to fit the wishes of rosebriar and others she looks up to. she hasn't learned to cope with the pressure yet, and the stress begins getting to her. one night, she snaps. she escapes camp, maybe running away for a night, screaming, breaking something, crying. then she comes back, the mask stronger than ever, realizing she can't ever slip up like that again. the srp to changeling would probably be the climax of this. this may happen after the key is stained. or it may happen later than her apprenticeship.
○ personality ideas:

○ she is the apprentice that all the kits look up to, that every mentor wants. she seems mature beyond her moons, but under the surface, she feels like the pressure is getting to her, and she's so young.. it begins to get in her head that she needs to be useful to be loved, and she hides her imperfections.
iii. the key
○ warriorhood. the bluebeard metaphor is central to this part. she's perfected herself, she's loveable. she grows from “i want others to be happy with me!” to “i need others to be happy with me” to “i need to be perfect so others are happy with me.” she grows into the personality i have planned for her, changing and becoming more obsessive and possessive. she manipulates others and hides her true self. she becomes obsessed with her flaws and her mistakes.
iv. jealousy, jealousy
○ she's jealous of everyone who seems to be happy, everyone who has someone who loves them whether or not they're perfect, of everyone who allows themselves to make mistakes. maybe at this point she'd have a specific individual, perhaps even one of her siblings(?) that she is extremely envious of. of course, crim holds rosebriar's love, but maybe these siblings are also loved, and they don't have to strive for perfection like her. she may obsess over their differences, and try to plan their downfall because she is jealous and fears losing rosebriar's love.
v. what do you want to be when you grow up?
○ the animatic i mentioned above, in the ideas section. with every cat she's hurt flashing by her face. i don't think this would come with a srp, but maybe it would be something similar to a dream. regret. she just feels regret.
vi. stained keys
○ her trying to open up, trying to love. her key comes back stained. none of these are actually ruining her key, ruining her, but she views it as such. she can't bear for it to be ruined. vulnerability, fear, embarrassment, attachment,
- maybe she makes gifts for her siblings, and they forget about them. she is hurt. her mind twists it into her not being good enough, and she becomes more reserved.
- maybe rosebriar praises her siblings over her. she doesn't mean anything by it, of course, but in crim's mind, it's proof that she wasn't good enough. maybe she thinks back and realizes she'd dropped her mask earlier that day, and blames it on herself. after this, she will also do things like remind rosebriar of her achievements, rather than those of her siblings', and try to bring them down, quietly.
- maybe she lets herself get close to someone, someone who is kind to her, and slowly lets herself open up more and more until something happens. she messes up, they argue, they leave. she loses that cat. her key is stained, all because she opened the door to her true self.
- maybe she finds a bird, injured. maybe she tries to nurse it back to life, and someone catches her. maybe they talk about it, and crim opens up a little about her obsession, and they agree and smile. however, the bird dies, and then later someone else brings it up with her. maybe she realizes that she shouldn't have told them anything. maybe she's asked something along the lines of “do you actually like this?”
- maybe she cries in front of someone, and feels like they view her different ever since. the door opens. she feels humiliated.
- she tries loving. it's this cat she's had a crush on for so long. they're amazing, in her eyes, not ruined and rotting like her. they confess. they get close, she opens up, reveals her true self. and then crim messes it up, somehow. she'll shut down, will avoid that person, or maybe pretend that it was all fake and she was just manipulating them. that she never let down her mask, her walls. she'll hurt them. her key will be stained.
- she reveals something and they smile and laugh and like it. and she is terrified. she slams the door shut, running from them, closing herself off yet again.
- she leads those who like her on, unable to deal with losing them and manipulating them into thinking she likes them back
vii. the room
○ she finally lets someone love her, gets close to someone, slowly. maybe they catch her off guard. they forgive her when she hurts or manipulates them. they forgive her flaws and mistakes. it would be a slow burn, and at last, she lets the key she was clutching drop. it hits the ground, but it doesn't matter. they see it, and they don't care. they don't care if it's imperfect. they don't try to fix her. they love her how she is, anxious and fearful of them leaving. and she heals, slowly. the key never becomes clean again, but it's her life. it shows she's loved, lost, and lived.

○ i haven't completely decided, but i imagine crimson would probably stay cis or female-aligned for the majority of her life. i don't see this as something she's going to care much about, always just viewing herself the same way she's always been. she will probably be using pronouns she/her. although maybe she would try out some others too? like she/fae?
○ lesbian in the future, or perhaps sapphic. i don't see her caring too much about the cat's gender identity, but i do think she will want them to be female-aligned. she will try out guys for a bit, thinking she likes them, then decide she's bi, and then settle on lesbian/sapphic. she may also be berrisexual, though, primarily attracted to female and female-aligned cats, or androgynous ones, and having a lesser attraction to males.
○ eye candy: it doesn't matter to her too much, but they have to be pretty. she likes big eyes, and would like them to be physically bigger than her to sort of protect her or possibly serve as a pillow in the future. they can be taller or shorter. even if she is attracted to someone, though, she will push them away until she can accept loving. they need to be gentle and understanding, and not push her.
- she would still feel attraction to cats, but never act on it for fear of them seeing who she really is, making her somewhat awkward around them.

○ rosebriar: views rosebriar as the center of her perception of everything. she bases herself off of her expectations and wishes for her daughter. crimson desperately needs his approval and love, upholding the perfect image just for her. she memorizes all the little details about him, thinking that is the way to get him to love her. and it works, somewhat. as long as she stays perfect, she views their relationship as good. maybe she grows to be the favorite. she even manipulates her siblings in order to further solidify her place as the favorite. rosebriar is who has shaped her into who she is, along with her own mind, trapping her in the perfect image she feels the need to uphold and the mind she views as rotting. she was already a perfectionist beforehand, but due to her, it's been amplified.
○ wraithkit: crimson has rather mixed feelings about her sister. they're something similar to mirror images, yet one is twisted one way, the second the other way. she understands the obsession, understands the lies, understands the fear and the need to be perfect. yet they execute it in different ways. wraith is hateful of the world, which crimson does not understand. what had the world done to her? she understands the self-loathing, though. she gets it so much that it hurts. they desire the forbidden, mirror images, yet different. crim wonders how she can have so much anger and fury, and maybe understands some of it, what she keeps buried. strangely enough, she feels jealous of the way rai dislikes rosebriar. she seems to care about her love and attention less than crimson's thought possible.
○ etherealkit: thinks of ethie as… odd. she's jealous of her happy-go-lucky view of the world, wondering how it doesn't eat her up inside when she makes mistakes and is imperfect. it confuses ria, but she loves her sister anyway. they're opposites.

○ the type of kit to stay inside of the nursery all day rather than explore. she goes out of the nursery pretty rarely, only to see things. other kits her age are out exploring and playing outside, she dozes inside of the nursery and collects cool-looking rocks she can find instead of playfighting. even as a kit, she never steps out of line, always striving to be perfect. she is a perfectionist to start with, and rosebriar's expectations make it even worse. as an apprentice, she would also prefer to stay in the apprentice den, but also enjoy hunting alone. she would explore abandoned spots in her free time (when she's in the mood of course) and collect cool things she can find like butterfly wings and any gemstones. she will go along with whatever her mentor tells her! this is where her obsession with being perfect will begin, as well as the fear beginning to eat her inside. once she becomes a warrior, i imagine she will just do whatever, staying up late collecting things and exploring, then sleeping into the day. would probably only go out in the late afternoon to night, and spend the rest of her time alone in some spot she likes or inside of a den. at this point, she will view herself as ruined and desperate, needing to be perfect.
○ she's a little bird nerd, watching them for hours and learning random facts about them. i imagine she'd climb up to their nests and peer inside to see how they're built, maybe collect pretty feathers she found. she may also refuse to eat or kiII birds, or “accidentally” scare them away when she needs to (as an apprentice). i imagine this would conflict with her wishing to do what others, specifically her mentor, where she wants to please them and do what they're telling her to, but at the same time doesn't want to harm the bird. it would probably come out to her doing whatever she is asked, leading to some internal conflict. if she sees a dead bird, she may get a few tears in her eyes, especially as a younger cat, devastated at seeing one dead. she would hold a proper funeral and mourn it.
○ she loves moths! they're nocturnal creatures just like her. they are very pretty and mesmerizing, and she loves watching them flutter around, curiosity in her eyes. she doesn't understand why they're viewed as worse than butterflies. she loves both of them, but moths have a special place in her heart. she would be okay with receiving butterfly wings as a gift, in fact, she would appreciate that, but she would not like moth wings. she doesn't believe they should die/be kiIIed, even if it wasn't by the cat gifting them to her. this may cause conflict with a well-meaning individual in the future, though not for long. she'll forgive them, of course, but it may make her a bit sad. maybe in the future this changes.. symbolism somehow?
○ crim tends to stay up very late, needing alone time to recharge. it is very peaceful then, and she is able to be without a mask or anything. it's also sometimes due to the inability to sleep, or just the wish to do things alone, without being bothered. it's not the healthiest for her, leading her to wake later as well, though this doesn't bother her unless she needs to get up earlier for some reason. she explores abandoned places during the night, as well as maybe wandering to the twolegplace a couple of times, as a warrior? she would be curious and want to see, maybe get jumpscared by something and flee back to windclan camp, then spend a couple of hours, fuming about it, rather ashamed.
○ she genuinely loves kits. she just has a soft spot for them. she drops her mask around them most times, doesn't control her words or facial expressions. she's gentle and kind, letting them see her for who she is. of course, once they grow up, she often does have her walls in place, but she remembers them from when they were younger.
○ she's extremely possessive of people, but very generous with objects. she shares pretty often, and although sometimes it is selfishly motivated to get them to like her, she gives away things she treasures with the hopes of making them smile. if it makes them smile, it's worth more in their paws than hers. maybe she finds something really pretty and someone says it looks great. she'd immediately give it away, and though maybe it will feel like a loss, it will also feel worth it to her. she might start out giving things to make others like her, and then end up gifting because it brings her joy. this ties in with her acts of service because she gifts people these things thoughtfully. someone may mention they don't like their nest or it's uncomfy, and she will figure out a way to fix it for them. or maybe they say their sleeping place is boring, so she'd find thoughtful gifts for them to decorate with. if a gift is ignored or discarded, she's hurt more than she likes to admit. it's a mixture of sincere affection and the belief that love must be earned.
○ crimson speaks with carefully chosen words, her voice somewhat low. it's a little on the fast side, but she pauses sometimes to think about where she's gonna go with her sentence. the thought of saying something she can't take back terrifies her.
○ when she argues, her voice is tense. she's cold and logical, often slipping in passive-aggressive remarks if she's hurt. she dismantles the other's arguments rather than yelling. she can't afford to lose control, but she needs to win the argument. if she ends up losing control, she may raise her voice.
○ when she's embarrassed, her ears may flatten to her head a little, and she becomes more closed off and defensive. she may begin smoothing her fur down, especially if it rose a little.
○ ree has somewhat dry, understated humor. rather than telling jokes, she makes quiet observations with a straight face. for example, if someone was to proudly say, “i could probably catch that rabbit.” she might simply reply with something like, “you've tripped over your own paws twice today, are you sure?” she may let it hang in the air. for a bit, staying silent and then crack a smile at her own joke. she also tends to make deadpan comments, which is also what get her laughing. she laughs at silly things she sees in nature, deadpan comments, and ironic timing. i imagine a conversation with her going something like. “i'm not worried someone's following me!” crimson: “is that why you've checked behind you four times already?” she notices things about others, and makes these comments about them. they aren't negative, they're affectionate. there isn't chaotic laughter that ensues wherever she goes, but she's funny nonetheless.
○ crimson doesn't often laugh loudly. she may exhale through her nose, raising her eyebrows a little. she may scoff. often times she lets out a little dry chuckle. however, if she sees something as really funny, she may snort, though it sounds somewhat like a scoff.
○ i could see her falling for someone with a bunch of tiny little imperfections that she grows to love over time. messy fur, crooked whiskers.. those flaws that make them more lovable, while her flaws are unforgivable. but why?

- view on starclan: she believes in starclan, but not whole-heartedly. she's never had any proof that they exist, as far as she's concerned, and she primarily focuses on things that are proven rather than ideas. it's a loose belief, one that may be challenged or changed later in her life. she does like the idea of cats having somewhere to go after passing. as time goes on, she will start fearing that she might not be going to starclan. what if the mess she is inside and how she manipulates others sends her to the dark forest instead?
- account name ideas: to be honest, my current account username, @fawniinq- would probably be a pretty good match for her (i did not choose it for this reason lolol). these next few are ones i've checked and hopefully should not be taken. maybe something like @crimson-lies, @perfectliar,
- view on social heirarchy: she thinks its really important to understand what it is and how it works, but thinks its like a popularity contest. views it negatively, but finds it useful nonetheless.
- view on riverclan: thinks it's odd that these cats eat fish all the time. fish is not the best food, in her opinion, not even close to one of her favorites. she will only eat it if necessary
- views on shadowclan: likes how they are nocturnal. she loves the night and all its secrets, as well as the peace and quiet. other than that, she doesn't know much about shadowclan.
- views on thunderclan: does not care about thunderclan at all.
- views on skyclan: she thinks their camp sounds very cool and would love to visit at some point.
- view on windclan: loves it, but wishes there were more trees.

- bad habits: over-cleans certain patches of fur, then is ashamed and covers them with flowers or other plants; often makes injuries worse by testing them out too often
- love language: probably acts of service, she believes she needs to be useful to others and that is how she's used to expressing her love/other feelings. this is not the best view, but it's hard for her to change. she will not be one for words, not once her partner is truly someone she's okay with seeing the real her. her smoothness and words are a ruse, and if she wants to be genuine with them then it will feel fake and odd using words of affirmation. i imagine she will slowly grow accustomed to physical touch and even enjoy it! as for quality time, she also values it a lot, but prefers to express her love in other ways.
- what sense she most relies on: she most relies on her hearing and sight, knowing that these are the best tricks for paying attention to others. she can see their body language and small changes in facial expressions, and can hear the small intakes of breath or whispers of conversation.
- eating habits: doesn't eat that much, often not hungry and has poor appetite. she either eats close to nothing or a lot, no in between.
- favorite traits to see in other cats: loyalty, kindness
- least favorite traits to see in other cats: blind love and those who view the world through rose-tinted glasses
- accessories: choker thorn necklace!! she views it as a sort of collar, sort of like the kittypets have, confining her to perfection and the life she currently lives in. after her arc starts/ at any point during it, she may abandon it (if allowed by the designer). however, i can also see her keeping it as a sort of reminder; she has roses in her fur already, and she thinks they're very pretty values them, especially because they came from rosebriar; also, probably would wear some kind of flowers or plants in the areas she's ashamed of, like any future scars or spots she over-cleaned to shield herself. after all, flowers are prettier than imperfections. i would love for her to have some sort of earrings or butterfly wings in her fur as well, as she loves those dearly.
- notes: slightly curled whiskers and curled fur, especially around her face, chest, and tail. medium length.
- most treasured items: she treasures gifts the most, viewing them as something special since they're from others.
- reaction to love confession: probably shocked, though would recover quickly. she doesn't believe someone can genuinely love her, and she is not willing to love them back due to the fact that she doesn't want them to see the real her. she may believe they're trying to manipulate her, depending on who it is. if it's someone close to her she might lead them on, using them to her advantage and pretending to love them back, not wanting to badly hurt them.
