uhhhh this is a swap au for pjsk! this forum is for collaborating on it. the groups go as follows

kizuna/connect a band with softer music and ahrd hitting lyrics. might do an ave mujica thing but theyre bad at instruments

A group made up of four not-really musicians who have had to leave somebody in the past in order to go on to the future???

Kanade - keyboardist … saw rui performing in the street and found inspiration to do something live. starts questioning if music is really the way to save people, and whether she started doing music out of necessity or fun. Also feels a bit angry BC Rui's naturally talented and doesn't appear as openly miserable with it. Too focused on music to pay attention to the groups interpersonal relationships sometimes and definitely perfectionistic after a lifetime of working with electronically generated instruments and finds it hard to work with other people.

Shizuku - guitarist … Her true feelings are that she wants to be with her friends and would do anything for them. She thought this could be with cheerde
but shes not sure why she’s still with them cos she messed up too much. character arc about being given too much responsibility and not being or wanting to be able to live up to it. She can be forced to become the leader of the band after finally being freed from cheerful days and cannot go through it again, and might want to consider whether this leader is worth her real self. She also wants to guide the band to do rock music but she knows this might clash with her existing fan base, and really just wants to both reconnect with her sister and chase music the way everyone else in her household does as she's never done that in a way that's taken seriously. Wants Leo need to happen and still clings into it.

Honami's - drummer … hiding from leo/need. needs to let herself go with her own opinions. She feels out of her depth as a person as she's always been expected to be an older sister and those roles have been taken away from her by shizuku so doesn't know what to do. Definitely feels guilty surrounding Kanade's collapse and initially joined the band just to assuage her guilt. Wanted Leo need to happen as well as Shizuku. She eventually becomes the leader and the group decides to not make too much use of the fame of shizuku and kanade.

Rui - bassist … likes putting on a good show and thinks these guys could be the ones to do it - more there for the friends not for the music. still wants to become a director but a band can't accommodate that, and the only reason he stays is because he's found somewhere he belongs even if he feels he's gonna get replaced by Shiho eventually. Definitely starts out a significant amount more neurotic than in canon due to underlying distrust, but eventually feels at home with his hands members. Also both mizuki and nene now hashtag hate him at the start of the story

currently on chapter 4 (fic is ‘kizuna connect’ on ao3)

more more fire this title WILL CHANGE theyre an idol group with more kpoppy roots in style than jpop

(airi and ena decide to make the most out of their teenage years by flipping off the industry and making their own group where they can direct themselves)

Ena - supports her friend in her dream and craves the attention probably
Airi - wants to become a real idol
Akito - THE. WHEEL. DECIDED first person ena saw of the right age range. He feels terribly self conscious about being a guy in an all girl group but he’s probably best at dancing. Bit jealous of his sisters ability to sing i think
An - looked at akito and went ‘ i want what he’s got’ (aka she wants revenge cos she was gonna do the whole vbs thing lol)


The Pegasus Soaring in the Sky Troupe! (im weakest oin plot here because theres no emu to convince the ootoris) obvs a theater throupe

Tsukasa - couold he one-handedly strongarm shousuke into keeping one of the last stages open on the provido he has actors (someone he found in school and a phenny fan and a girl he vaguely remembers from his childhood)
Kohane - visits pxl and tsukasa drags her in.
Haruka - spread hope with stories?
Nene - decided there's only so long she doesn't face her fear (easier said than done but she's bitter and it's ‘all ruis fault’.) rui did not reconcile with her after middle school

flash warning street music group!

Emu- advertsing for wodnrsatge one day went out and ended up getting dragged in. maybe wanted to make mafuyu smile
Shiho - probably saw rad weekend and seems fairly depressed during middle school so dw girl
Minori - heard shiho sing (CLASSMATES) after giving up after her 50th audition and she seems fairly sure she can spread hope through her singing
Mafuyu decided Shiho's voice was powerful enough to keep her alive and wanted to learn how to do that or die maybe


lights out! the n25.. probably mildly less angsty i would like them to do songs like tokyo teddy bear
MIZUKI - does most of the videos shes the only reason that the group evehn started
TOYA - dunno but he breaks the violin out. Saki might have asked him to help out and it might keep his dad pacified cos its some sort of music
Ichika - turned to composing cos saki did. Maybe have random line where she walks into kanade and she's just muttering
Saki - started this group while in hospital to kill the time now discovers she qwuite enjoys composing, especially with her new friends

Because its fake n25 and we all crown ourselves sega, maybe have a thing where everyone just wants to fall asleep?

new working title for fake mmj is… more more fire (because akito and an are both associated with burning stuff, i guess you could say airi and enas personalities are lwk fiery? also sekaipedia reckons vbs dance stuff is more kpoppy so that would be cooll if they could lean into that i jsut know nothing about them )

grapplign with whether i want sekailoids to exist here cos they could do with a miku push but also i cant be bothered thinking up sekais but i do have potential main sekailoids written up cos i included therm in the initial wheel spoin

connect/kizuna - miku and rin. greenhouse sekai
more more fire - meiko and miku
fake vbs luka and miku dollhouse sekai?
fake wxs - kaito &miku (as tsukasas sekai has existed the longest?) whatever wxs sekai is called again
lights out - miku & len library sekai?

erm yeah im kinda stuck for both names and sekais

connect/kizuna would have a much softer feel to their music than leo/need (i was going to stick ‘passion at 25’ there but n25 has disbanded at some point and went their own ways). some songs ive gotten for them are

phony ive gone for fussy eaters cos 2/4 members and right vocaloid !!!

oh excellent! they could so go someone unknown or random like we've spent the majority of wxs' current arc moving around theatres so its not unfeasible to think there are other places like the wonder stage.

some parts of the conflict planned for kizuna/conenct stem from leo/need never properly forming and it feels SO MUCH like crychic cos im having a hard time keeping all my plot threads relevant

was rereading wxs main story… tsukasa orignally pictechd the name of the troupe to be ‘ The Pegasus Soaring in the Sky Troupe! ’. obviously it didnt catch on but im changing the placeholder name

cuz haruka - liked being on stage but th epressure of being an idol was too much so she went a different path? (she was then shot 57 times cuz she was wrong but she loves her friends so she doesnt wanna leave)

yeah youre correct ! nene wont have a nenerobo here (i think rui and nene making up will be a much later thing and by that point nene will probably be okay on her own). haruka in mmj main story is miserable im having a hard time seeing her as anyone but an idol. erm kohane is definitely going ot have to be the voice of reason here but they probably will end up going with tsukasas troupe title regardless of whether they want it or not.

a good way of finding plot is by having a good draw… ive only got sakis narrowed down unfortunately (would ichika have those miku pjs?)… i feel weird searching up pjs so i havent made a start on the rest haha
