Is it okay to make projects about controversial figures?
Like, could I make a project about Joseph Stalin and the USSR, or Mao Zedong, and his Great Leap Forward?
From a neutral standpoint, not saying I think he's good or bad, just from a historical standpoint.
EDIT: Here is the project: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1332461091/

The general rule is that such projects are okay if there is a clear educational/historical context used in the project. Any other context, you'd be walking on thin ice.

no because communism is badtrue, but i think it's okay if you're doing it for educational purposes like za-chary said. it's honestly good to know about the bad things that happened throughout history so we don't repeat them. as long as you're not showing it in a positive light and acknowledging that it is bad, just teaching others, i think it's okay
plus we all have to learn about it in school anyway lol

EDIT: If anyone wants to see the project, here it is! https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1332461091/this looks great honestly, it's super educational and even explains why the things they did were… not so great, so i think this would be perfectly fine! even taught me some things i didn't know, i think it's pretty cool

you definitely showed your good intentions well with this so i don't see why it should be taken down
