There isn't a specific timeframe, your account could be over 10 years old and still a new scratcher.

To become a scratcher, you must

share at least 2 projects

confirm your email address

be active (comment, share projects, love fav projects)

accept the invitation to become a scratcher

It usually takes around 2 weeks, but it can take more to earn the scratcher status. Technically, you can never accept the invitation to become a scratcher and be active with the “new scratcher” title. I wouldn't recommend this, as a scratcher will have more features than a new scratcher (such as cloud variables).

That won't be easy. It is very rare for a scratcher to become popular. I have one project over 30 000 views taking up 3/4 of my views for my entire account and yet it is easily my worst, yet my most clickbait-y project.

I must say that you are more likely to get a response from a less popular scratcher by following them as they will appreciate it more and the notification you gave them won't be buried under hundreds of other notifications. I don't randomly follow like this, but it is a method of getting popular.

Also make sure your projects are actually good. Or at least look good. If it's thumbnail is plain or messy, it may come across as boring or low quality, even if it isn't. I prefer quality over fancy looking projects though, but I still put a little effort in making an ok thumbnail.

Agreed! Even commenting ‘nice!’ On a featured project people will see and maybe look at ur account.

Popular is a subjective term, so my opinion may differ from other opinions. In my opinion, a popular scratcher is able to share a project and get 100 views within a week without having to put it in studios (including not putting it in SDS) and advertise it. I can probably manage 10 at most without doing anything that helps the project.

A popular project I would say has a constant stream of views (even if it is a trickle) as well as having at least a few thousand views. I can only really classify one of my projects in this category.

Don't stress of any of your projects are struggling to gains views. Find your joy from coding, not from view counts. You should be proud of a project due to its quality rather than its view counts.
