Hey that reminds me it’s been a year since uni sv was discontinued I wonder when she’s coming back.
It’s still insane to me that she wasn’t completely deactivated until they made the new voicebank. I feel so bad for Jung Eun Lee. That whole situation was awful.

i think the creator of neru said that she’ll never get an actual vb asides from fan ones because not having a voicebank and being a pitch fanloid is what neru is?

No, Hioka has said many times that he won’t rule out the idea of Neru getting an official voicebank, but he hasn’t ever considered it as something that would likely happen and would like to keep Neru’s voice up to each individual’s interpretation. He’s so committed to it so much that he has never publicly stated (as far as I know) what voice he prefers for Neru as to not cause people to treat one voice interpretation as more official than others, although he has admitted that he’s probably overly cautious about potentially upsetting fans. There’s also a lot of legal trouble, as unlike Teto or Ritsu, Neru has never had a widely accepted voice distinct from existing characters. It’s not like she’s just a character who happens to take inspiration from Miku, but is still legally distinct, she is a Miku fan work. If she were to get a voicebank, it would almost definitely have to be through crypton doing it, and I think that’s probably less likely than cv04 or project if coming back.
Hioka is okay with fanmade voicebanks though (as long as they don’t act like they’re official, defame others, don’t infringe on third party’s rights (looking at you, Neru Neo 1.0), and other stuff like that.)
So she can and does have her own voicebanks, they’re just not official. Although I think Neru Neo is the only one at the moment, which is a utau voicebank, with a diffsinger version coming soon.

honestly i wouldn’t base it off the comments a lot, since flavor foley (especially jamie) usually talks like this
though the accounts they follow seem to be fanmade, and no there’s no official post confirming it unlike eikokoro/HALLO CEL
so yeah i’m leaning towards fanmade more than official but who the hell knows maybe flavor foley is the type to make random accounts everywhere
