There is a very unusual bug happening in Scratch right now.

The “GRAY BOX WITH A QUESTION MARK” costume situation just got so much worse to the point that it could ruin the whole Scratch projects.
Before this bug, if you encounter this bug in costume, usually found on a massive project, you can fix it by reloading the project again or by using Turbowarp.
But now, no matter how big or how small the project is, there is random chance the “GRAY BOX WITH A QUESTION MARK” will appear.
Refreshing will now never work, Even Turbowarp couldn't save it, and would likely stay like this permanently.

This happened to 4 of my projects. I managed to replaced those missing costume with my backup costume for 3 of my projects, but that one of my project got so corrupted that I have to delete the whole project cause of this bug. (that one project wasn't that important tho)

I recommend ALL of you to DOWNLOAD all of your IMPORTANT PROJECTS into your computer. (by going to “File” at top left and click “Save to your computer”)

I had that era as well on many of my projects including my most important one which was about an operating system which it's very valuable and it was based on an operating system on scratch from 2015 but it kept displaying a bunch of marks on random things like from apps to the actual loading screens.

stupid question marks always in the same spot when i refresh

Is it me or scratch is deleting all the costumes, atleast i'm currently recovering my projects to archive

I surely hope scratch put back all the costumes that was being eaten by demonic cannibalist question mark zombies

ALSO: So back in May 21st, 2026 i just saved my weather simulation project and nothing's wrong at all, but 5 days later when i came back into the project, WHAT THE HECK? question marks? AW HECK NAH THEYRE EATING NORMAL COSTUMES (and its flesh) AND INFECT THEM. then when i refresh the page, oh great the question marks are in the same spot (i did not save the project on that day). Is scratch really deleting costumes? No seriously i'm not joking.

SCRATCH, YOU SHOULD FIX THE BUG NOW!

These projects were from my old student account, I resulted into remixing them once I got this account because my student account was closed due to inactive class

same I got some question marks

I managed to redo 5 of my projects but 2 were so bad that I just trashed them
