Fighting Viruses before they fight You!
I don't do batch. So IDK what that means. xD-snip-Shift + Delete.
Most windows PCs will move something to the trash when you ‘delete’ it.
Or just overwrite it with something of the same name/filetype xDrm -rf filename

Careful there.. We might get some kid coming here crying about how he deleted his OS if we start teaching bash…-snip-Shift + Delete.

That's what bash does. It taints the souls of perfectly good men and women.
; Oh this? This is just my semicolon. I got it a long time ago, it's quite innocuous. Don't worry about it.

I should warn about the -rf tag, that'll remove without a prompt and so you should double check the command before you do something stupid like ‘rm -rf /*’

Well - bash isn't exactly unique in that respect, at least - I'm pretty sure you can wreck your computer with about every programming language. xD (except for Scratch lol xD)

Well not really. Most programming languages are at a level high enough that they won't do stuff like delete LITERALLY EVERYTHING WITHOUT WARNING.
But bash can™
Bash is basically the goto language for trolls who trick people into nuking their PC.

No I don't make projects anymore. I left some time ago.
I only check the forums every now and then, but other than that consider me retired.

Wow, I've never seen the batch version before. That's even more terrifyingly simple.Don't actually run that.del *.*

Windows on the other hand actually tries to protect system files when you run del, assuming you're running it as a normal user, thank goodness.

Because for some reason I don't think a topic called “How to nuke one's computer” would go over well with mods

Well, on a polar opposite thread? xD it's about preventing computer viruses, so basically how to preserve your computer against threats…
I think nuking your computer after defending against 47 viruses kind of defeats the purpose. xD

Good point xD I think nuking your computer after defending against 47 viruses kind of defeats the purpose. xD
It's mostly because we ATers get Why has this forum thread turned into the “easy executable code that nukes computers without warning” topic? xDreeeeally off topic sometimes…
