Anyway, I agree that ID verification is not a good idea.

scratch doesnt really have “notifications” imo since you gotta log on to the website itself
I just realized that “notifications” is probably referring to stuff OUTSIDE of the app/site

yep, it doesn't like… call you to come get on the site so i don't think scratch messages can count as notifications, since when you see them you're already on the site so it's not like “hey come check your phone again!! come get on scratch again!!”

That was basically the only thing that made me think it could affect scratch, I want this to stay open just in case though

i personally don't think so as scratch isn't technically considered social media, it's an educational coding platform made specifically for kids
BUT don't take my word for it, i could most definitely be wrong, that's just my speculation though
It did mention notifications as part of “what makes social media addictive”, but I do agree that scratch would probably be considered educational (the under 16 social media ban in Australia doesn’t consider scratch social media afaik for example) and in general id verification is bad
(Also this law isn’t official yet, it’s actually getting criticized a lot)
Yeahim Australian they only did well known addictive websites and web sites that can lead you to be kidnapped like uh Reddit ig
