Was able to fix the remote desktop-stuff today, and it's been relatively smooth sailing. Minus, customizing a DaVinci Resolve installJust jumped onto Linux as my one and only OS. Windows 11 fried my laptop with a faulty Dev Channel preview (while I was using 10's Explorer via Control Panel lol) that would hang during installation. I semi-wiped (removing programs) my computer (I thought too many apps were the problem at first), but that didn't stop it. I realized all I had to do was repeatedly pause the update for a week until a newer, “stable” version came.Just jumped onto Linux as my one and only OS. Before that, PowerToys caused the same PC to constantly GSOD, needing a Restore to fix everything.
In March 2025, I switched that computer to Ubuntu, and everything was smooth sailing after that.

But windows uses so much ram and cpu and the fans become something you have to listen to forever. Additionally, when MacBooks close, they sound more like a book than a laptop closing. But you’re right, however it was to keep the system light not to reduce comparability. Think of windows and macOS versions as backpacks. Each layer is stuff from the pervious oses. All of the windows ones are full because they never clear them. The Mac layers stay light. A bunch of the older ones are even empty! This makes macOS lighter than windows, trading compatibility for being lightweight. macOS last supported 32-bit apps with macOS Mojave and the last 32-bit version of macOS was macOS Snow Leopard. The last windows os to support 32-bit apps is windows 11 and the last 32-bit windows os was windows 10 officially but unofficially windows 11 (with tiny11).Mac OS is the best tbhIt can't even run 32-bit programmes written in the 90s

Additionally, when MacBooks close, they sound more like a book than a laptop closing. If you close a Windows laptop the right way you can get a loud clap sound
Besides, evaluating Windows based on hardware isn't really fair, since unlike macOS, Windows is not exclusive to product lines controlled by its company.
