They went as far as to search people's devices without warrants, just because their WiFi wasn't working. They were that paranoid.
Did they search personal or school devices? Either way, it's still illegal without reasonable suspicion.
It's not illegal if its their devices. They own them and are letting us “borrow” them, meaning they can search it whenever they feel like it.
On school devices, it is somewhat still a bit illegal (because even though they can see what you're doing, we still have a right to privacy) but kinda/very dimmed down.

Yeah, that is highly illegal without student consent. I recommend talking with law enforcement or your states/country's DoE

They do not let us sign in or communicate to email accounts that aren’t school accounts.

school devices shouldn't be used for personal use and the only things that you wouldn't want to get spied on are personal things

turbowarp is blocked on my school wifi
for “web proxies”
funny thing is, you cant use the web proxies because of modern browser security features.
and also snap.berkeley.edu (not unblocked) also has this feature (in vanilla)

the thing is if you fetch a CORS proxy, the url block will work for all URLs

But ofc you would need to set up your own instance of a server or pay for a key, which at that point students would just find unblocked site URLs instead

It might be because of the .org domain.

They don't block every .org domain…

It's probably either because of the previous domain owner or that it was unknown

Turbowarp, yt, wikipedia are blocked for me, altho the wi-fi is what blocks stuff since I'm on a personal device
I can't even access this stuff on my personal acc when I'm at school, (it works at home tho.)

IDK

It works on a specific wi-fi owned by school but I can't access it on personal devices

It doesn't work on the district wi-fi which is a nuisance for when I'm assigned a yt video I can't access and I have to switch to my hotspot

Altho I'm surprised that coolmath hasn't been blocked already
