I think the new one is really poorly organised but maybe they did that to cover up any loopholes. why change it, though?

Re-rewrite the Terms of Service

The new Terms say Scratch can train AI on our stuff
This was really controversial and it's sad that almost no one is talking about this anymore.

I don't really see how the current ToS draft you supplied prohibits people from training projects and the like to AI chatbots/crawlers, like what was stated in the current ToS, and was one of the main reasons for changing it in the first place.

If you want to have your draft to actually be accepted, you're going to have to cover AI chatbot training in it one way or another.

In the OP, disallowing crawlers is marked as an “issue”, but there isn't anything in the ToS draft to provide an alternate solution to its purpose. Sure, there's a thing there about Scratch not training AI, but there's nothing in there that specifically covers external training.

That, would be false (or at least, the second half of your statement). There was some section that said by using the scratch website thingy, scratch gains the right to use your creations for things like commercial use or advertising.

Yea, technically not true, as they cant bring out projects to real life (unless its realistic or something)

But otherwise its true: They are allowed to remove projects for no reason, with some admin abuse (messing with API) they could probably change some stuff in projects, they can use them for their ads, etc.

I just checked, and it does not say that. They would still need to credit and ShareAlike.
The closest thing is this:
This license also allows the Scratch Team to display, distribute, and reproduce your content on the Scratch website, through social media channels, and elsewhere.
But that is merely providing an example of the scope of the licence
Besides, what I said was about AI training, not commercial use

The new licence does allow them to do pretty much anything, but the old licence did not, but either way, it's not like they own our projects
