Mee too!

You can download your projects and reupload them elsewhere. But also, it's unhealthy if your emotional status is tied to a volatile website that can do things like this (deleting accounts) so you may should take a break, like I did
Yes, but it's still not really a great thing for a platform to do something like this. Just because you can doesn't mean you should.

Don't spam support tickets.

Anyway, the fact that the Scratch Team has posted numerous warnings (the big yellow header/banner and a post in the Announcements forum) makes me suspect that something big is planned specifically for school accounts.

Just to be safe, I think you should probablyy create a new Scratch Account, move your projects there, and tell your Scratch friends that you're moving accounts. This school account will still exist (unless it gets deleted), but it's for sentimental purposes and your important projects are stored on a non-school account. Then, start working on your new projects on your new account. You'll still have your projects (the exact same projects, presumably, if you download and upload them from your old account to your new one) and you can tell your friends that you've moved accounts. Nothing would be different except the username, which isn't that big of a difference.

According to the official Scratch Statistics, there are over 150 million projects on Scratch with over 125 million users. When the Scratch Team makes decisions, they will probably focus on what's “best” for all of the Scratch community, and not just a single user's account. Realistically, changing your current account from a school account to a regular account is probably not going to happen.

I don't think you can do anything about it except create a new account. Do it now, while you still have access to this account, before something happens.

My best guess would be that they plan to stop doing new teacher/student accounts, wait for all the existing classes to end, then force everyone to use Scratch for Schools… this is purely speculation though.

HELP, JUST FIGURED OUT MY POPLAR ACCOUNT IS STILL A STUDENT ACCOUNT AND IM ABOUT TO LOOSE IT

should i spam scratch support tickets to try and annoy them into saving my account?
No. That will slow down other people's tickets and ST does not change student accounts into normal accounts.

Using a student account? Don’t lose your stuff! Student accounts are temporary. See this Help Desk article for details about student accounts and how to make a new account outside of your classroom."

so i dont think im fine and im scared
I understand your concern, but the Help Desk article says this:
When your class ends, or your teacher is no longer active on Scratch, student accounts are automatically closed.
If your teacher's account stays up and they do not close the class, nothing happens.
If you no longer use Scratch for school but the teacher never closed the class on the website, it's safe to assume your account most likely will stay up.
But If it does not, however, it's unfortunate, though you'll also have to understand there's not exactly a way out of it. You can't convert your account into a regular one and you would simply have to create a new one, reupload your projects and maybe ask your old followers to follow there if they wish. Alot of things in life do not go the way we would've wanted it to, but alas, we have to live with that.

Why would you spam Support Tickets? If anything, you'll lose your account for being annoying (ST probably wouldn't do this, but still).
Just download all of your projects, and if you are concerned about losing your account because of the name, or the status, don't be. You say that you like this account because you learned how to code with it? Then you shouldn't care about making a new account. You can just keep on coding.
