Why are cloud variables restricted from new scratchers? I made a new account a couple months ago because I didn't like my old user name lol. It was made by 4th grade me so understandably so it was incredibly cheesy haha. Anyways, I made a new account with a cooler name and to get a fresh start doing some more complex projects that I thought could've worked so well! Problem was though that I needed to be active for at least 2-4 weeks, post a couple projects, and like and favorite other projects. Welp let me tell you, doing that during the last quarter of school is one heck of a rodeo because I'm mostly studying for finals or take mock AP exams and stuff like that. All I want is to be able to use a cloud variable in my project to make it an online server.

Because some of them might be trolls or spammers. New scratchers have to do something productive on Scratch before they can use the parts of the site that can potentially be abused - like cloud variable chatrooms.

New scratchers can spam or troll the games, which is why they're restricted to just Scratchers.

According to the Scratch Wiki, “The Scratch Team does not want people new to Scratch misusing cloud variables as it could put a large load on the system that it cannot handle…”

To prevent spammers. If cloud variables are not restricted, then spammers would create modified and scripted bots, and the bots would spam immediately in a cloud game after seconds of being created if the restriction didn't existed
