I don't know if this has been asked before, but…

I'm in grade 8 moving into my ninth, and when I finish High School, my school account gets deleted, including the email i signed up with.
(Yes I used my school account to sign up for scratch) and I must know… What happens to my scratch account?

a) My scratch account gets deleted with my school email

b) My projects get unshared and I need to hook up a new email address

c) B but instead of my projects being unshared, I have to use a different email to share new projects.

Your Scratch account isn't part of a class, so nobody can actually make you delete it. You can keep using it for the rest of your lifetime if you choose.

Your email's existence is not tied to your Scratch account, so it will be fine. However, should you forget your password, you will not be able to log in ever again.

You can change the email that Scratch uses by going to Account Settings (https://scratch.mit.edu/accounts/settings/ , also accessible by clicking your profile picture in the top right corner) > Email > and entering a new email and confirming your password.

Your account (assuming you are referring to @Mikeygaming0041) is not a school account, so it will be accessible even if your school email gets deleted. Your projects will not be unshared and your account will not be deleted. If you log into your account, you will still be able to share new projects even if your school email is deleted.

However, I would recommend changing your email as soon as you can to one that you would have access to (even if it's a parent's email). The reason is because, if you ever forget your password, it will be much easier to reset it if your account is associated with an email address that you have access to. You can change it in “Account settings.”

it depends if it’s a class account or an account in a class or whatever it’s called if the class ends, I’m pretty sure you get locked out of your account but you can still see everything. That’s why I would recommend making an alt if you do have one in saying it’s your alt before the class ends so people don’t think you’re impersonating but if it’s a account you just made for your school, you can keep it, but I don’t know I’ve seen school accounts that are still up. The school account system will also be taken down soon. I don’t know if they will delete the accounts or if they will just not let you login.
