My browser / operating system: Windows NT 10.0, Chrome 147.0.0.0, No Flash version detected

I literally opened up scratch and my project ive been working on. No blocks inside the first sprite. The other sprites had their blocks. And what is the most stupid thing on earth, the blocks that i put before still work. They are nowhere to be found, but they work just as before. This happened just as scratch informed me: “You can now get thumbnails by clicking this cool button near the green flag!”. WHY DOES THIS HAPPEN TO ME????

That exact same thing happened to me!!

It only seems to happen with sprites that have custom blocks in them.

I have had the same issue in my game Team Fortress Royale, it features an old script by griffpatch that has scratch 2.0 style blocks, so Ill try to change it to restore functionality

This is a pretty common issue at the moment. ST recently released a new version of the editor and there's a couple bugs right now. Rest assured that there is a Github report for this right now: https://github.com/scratchfoundation/scratch-editor/issues/532
Edit: Welp I just checked that Github report a bit more thoroughly and turns out they link back to it here. Oops.

The Engineering team is aware of this issue - thanks. They are working on it now.

ig scratch fixed it bc now the sprite has the blocks.

Yeah, there was a GitHub issue and it must have been fixed. I looked at one of my projects that had the issue (made in Scratch 2.0) and it no longer had missing code

Maybe it wasn't just due to there being custom blocks, but because it had old 2.0 custom blocks.
In some old games, the inputs only allowed numbers, and those are the same things that kept disappearing.

No, I think I saw people recreating this while using 3.0

I had a project containing several hacked blocks and unused blocks, and most of the scripts containing those blocks disappeared.

oh great i think im not gonna work on a project because i've heard that there is someone discussing about the disappearing block bug
