A way to make animated thumbnails on projects

yes i know this is already a thing and you can use this website to do it (https://worldlanguages.github.io/animatedThumbnailsBookmarklet/)
but this isnt viable if you dont have a windows device or dont have access to outside websites. let alone of you are on mobile.
which is why i think this would be a nice QoL feature to have
we even already have a set thumbnail button so it could be as simple as putting an upload button next to it
(which could also get rid of the problem of the thumbnail having to be in the project)

is it too useful? not really. but hey when have things ever been too useful besides who couldnt use easier access to creating aethetics and more

(edit) you could also just make a official website that could do this too

Animated thumbnails are discouraged because they can lag low-end devices, so I don't think they would make it official like that

Also, projects with animated thumbnails get automaticly rated NFE (Not For Everyone).

Animated thumbnails are not searchable and have 0% chance of ever being front-paged

Well I'm assuming that would be the case to prevent flashing lights from triggering seizures in some people and other reasons.

No, it's to prevent lag on the front page.
