Go to where you would edit the backdrop and drag the specific costume into your backpack.

I found that usually dragging the thing I'm backpacking into the sprite area and back into the backpack makes it work.

Don't forget to close/reopen your backpack to force it to reload if you're working in separate browser tabs.

Evreyone, I know, when I drag the backdrops\code, the backpack does not light up, thus not letting me backpack

Might be a stupid question, but how full is your backpack? I have no idea if scratch has a backpack size limit (like, actual size in MB not just number of items).

It does not have one, no matter how much it has, it doesn't work

Is this a recent thing, or have you never been able to backpack?

It's only backdrops\code, the rest works
It's happened forever

Try dragging it to different parts of the backpack, for me it lights up only if I drag things near the left edge

Now it happened on my mobile and the thing that I said earlier didn't work.
My browser / operating system: Android, Chrome 138, No Flash version detected
I wonder if it has something to do with the window size and/or touch events vs mouse events

Edit: I could reproduce the bug on a computer by turning on touchscreen simulation in the browser's dev tools, so it's probably caused by the touchscreen making touch events instead of mouse events

I've managed to get the backpack light up: instead of dragging the block right into the backpack, I first dragged it over the title where it says “Backpack”, only then did I drag it into the backpack. However, the block still didn't get copied into the backpack when I released it.

If I just drag the block into the backpack normally, then doesn't light up at all
