Me neither… but if we didn't have any knowledge about 7 it kinda would be surprising

Notice for Geckium and legacy Windows/Mac users:
Firefox 115 ESR might be ending support this month (August 2026)
Windows:
If anyone wants later versions of Firefox, check out r3dfox and firefox-for-windows-7 (both are compatible with Windows Vista SP2 and up)
If anyone wants a Chromium based browser, check out Supermium and chromium-for-windows-7 (compatible with Windows XP SP3 and up)
Mac:
Unfortunately, there was a firefox-dynasty project, but I'm not sure about the current status bc the entire GitHub account is either shadowbanned or taken down. Some people have reuploaded the versions, however.
(this will be sent to other OS topics)
Please quote this post in August 2026 in case they don't extend it again. This post will also be updated if anything changes

Early happy birthday to Windows 2.11 (the latest ver for Windows 2.x, outside of an unconfirmed Korean version)
It turns 37 on Friday the 13th.
Also, happy birthday to Windows Server 2008 as well (turned 18 years old on February 27)

Another thing:
Scratch Desktop - compatible with Windows 7 and up (although it says Windows 10 and up on the page, the direct download works on Windows 7+)
You can also get it through Vista like this:
1. Download the direct download version of Scratch Desktop (not from the Microsoft Store). You can also do this on another drive.
2. If you get a message saying that you need Windows 7 and up, try using extended kernel to make the downloader think you're on Windows 7 or changing the compatibility mode to anything released before Windows 2000. This also works to bypass the check for other electron apps.
If it still doesn't run, try using the steps here:
https://github.com/win32ss/supermium-electron (there was also a fork that did update it)
I haven't tested it with XP, but this will also work for both the Windows 10+ and Windows 7+ versions of TurboWarp

I installed Windows Embedded POSReady 7 in a VM
It's mostly like normal 7

Edit: I also dualbooted it on my main computer, getting a WEI of 1.0.
I might need some drivers…

My browser / operating system: Windows 7, Microsoft Internet Explorer 8.0, No Flash version detected

Also Scratch supports Internet Explorer 9+. We suggest you upgrade to a supported browser, download the offline editor, or read about common workarounds.

Yes, it does not work perfectly
Time to upgrade to 11?

You should be able to update it to install later vers of IE, and you should be able to install supermium
The Supermium webpage works on IE and there's a legacy ver in case you're on older vers of IE
Edit: I don't think I can see it on search unless I look far but it's the win32subsystem.live one

I got some drivers, which only worked if I booted with F8/Disable Driver Signature Enforcement until I installed KB4474419, which I had to download manually as Windows Update doesn't work

My WEI is now 5.3

I have now gotten both Supermium and Chromium 60, although I only use supermium over C60 if I have to as Supermium is much slower

Yes; that's what I meant by ‘if I have to’; perhaps ‘when I have to’ would've been better wording
