What's the BUMP?
What's the BUMP?
In other words, what is a bump and how do you ‘bump’ a post or topic or something?
I have heard people talking about this in their posts/topics.

What's the BUMP?
A bump basically stands for Bring Up My Post, which its intended use is to put the post on the front page of the subforum.
It's good etiquette to bump every 24 hours and/or if it isn't on the front page already as bumping too much isn't really good practice.

Oh, thanks again for helping!
How do you bump?

Oh, thanks again for helping!Whenever you post on a topic, it is ‘bumped’ to the top of its subforum (e.g. Suggestions). To bump a topic, make a post saying ‘bump’ or similar. Anything will work, but writing ‘bump’ makes it clearer that you aren't just spamming. You are allowed to bump if there have been no new posts on the topic in the last 24 hours, and/or if it is not on the front page of its subforum. If you bump when neither is true, it's just spamming.

Bump is helpful, I guess. Thanks for helping. I'll be sure to use it when I need it.

What's the BUMP?
Also, how does a bump work? Like, does the system bump on its own, or does like, a moderator bring it up?

Also, how does a bump work? Like, does the system bump on its own, or does like, a moderator bring it up?As I said in the other topic, topics are sorted by the age of the most recent post in them. So yes; it is automatic.

What's the BUMP?
So if we post “BUMP,” the computer just bumps on its own?
There's not like, a moderator to check it first?
Because I'm pretty sure, I said BUMP like, 10 times in this topic?

(#8)The wording is irrelevant. You can make a post with any content, and it will bring up the post. However, the word bump or something parallel is often used because it's likely that your post would look like spam otherwise.
