I made Safeview to solve a problem on Scratch. May not be the biggest problem, but definitely one that pops up a few times. With Safeview, you can view a Youtube video, without seeing the comments/video suggestions, making it much more ideal for children friendly sites like Scratch. I know Scratch already has a custom video page, but many other sites advertised on Scratch don't. Safeview is simple to use, and nothing required to use it. You do not have to give me credit at all To use it, just give people the link below…

What makes Safeview unique is that if you want, I will make you a custom view page, based off the stock view page

Safeview Functions

Functions with Safeview allow you to customize the Safeview experience. Using functions are really easy too.


Multiple functions can be used at once, unless incompatibility between functions is specified below.


Here are a list of function IDs with required fields. Format:

function id : function description : function requirements

w : video width : must be int (number), incompatible with : r :
h : video height : must be int (number), incompatible with : r :
r : value will be used for width and height, to create a squared display : must be int (number), incompatible with : w : and : h :

d : show video description or not : must be int (number), 0 = hide, 1 = show, default is 1
c : main color : must be css color code or name
t : set title, will be displayed as Video - (field) : string (text), default is Video - (name of video)
m : custom message, displayed under video name : string (text)

Yea, I forgot to specify above that you must enter a ID for it to work. Otherwise it won't work.

Some things:
* Probably set the page title to the name of the video followed by “ - Safeview” or something
* Get rid of the hover effects plz
* Make the disclaimer smaller
* I don't see a need for the “information” section, the player has that info
* PURPLE WHYYYYY

That's really the only things I can see wrong with it

It's purple? That's news to me. I thought it was blue XD

It depends on the type of display you have. It looks slightly purplish on my computer.

Can you use Javascript to be able to select elements and move them around, then save?
It'd be awesome! You could have the title on the top, information on the side, date it was posted below, etc. Also maybe adding custom elements?

Meh, I'm not that good at Javascript. I'm currently learning it on Codecademy.
