[Requesting in a shop vs creating a topic]

Shops
A shop will be able to meet your basic needs, which includes: (but is not limited to) Thumbnails, profile pictures, banners, OCs, logos, intro/outros, and more. With a few exceptions, you'll find that most shops are geared towards design. That is not to say you can't request code scripts at a shop, though- Just check the shop's description first, to make sure that what you want to request is one of the things the shop specializes in.

So if what you need is geared towards art, logos, or small scripts of code, you'll get a reply quicker if you request in a shop.
