hi! I am sending this message to the community and most importently…the scratch team. what will the new ai do? and also why aren't my projects appearing when I search up my username?

The Scratch team plans on implementing AI in various different forms across the website to accomplish many different tasks, the one that people are curently concerned about is a creative learning assistant embedded in the editor that acts as a chatbot, that can help you diagnose bugs in code or find other shared scratch projects with assets that you need. It is not generative AI.

What I think to know is planned is the creative coding assistant cla that helps you find fitting pieces of code from scratch projects and implement them into your project.

It actually is Generative AI, it just won't be used for generating images. They had considered having it generate sprites but found that it was too unreliable and not safe for Scratch.

Chatbots in general with non-predetermined answers are Generative AI I believe

It can also straight up take sprites from other projects and put them into yours.

Uh… have you seen the CLA? That’s literally what generative AI is. An LLM is generative AI.
