My browser / operating system: Android Linux 10, Chrome 142.0.0.0, No Flash version detected

Hello everyone, i just found the way to crash scratch! This gif will show you how i did this:



Let me explain.

Step 1: create brand new project

Step 2: open up backpack

Step 3: drag sound (if have already) to outside (not inside) of sprites or backdrop

Step 4: congrats! You just crash scratch XD

I think it's because the sound is too big for Scratch.

Nah, i also tested smaller sound as well as it also crash scratch lol

Can't seem to recreate:
My browser / operating system: Linux, Chrome 142.0.0.0, No Flash version detected

Can replicate:
My browser / operating system: Windows 10.0, Chrome 142 (but only if mobile simulation is enabled in the DevTools)
My browser / operating system: Android, Chrome 138, No flash version detected

Steps:

• Put the default “Meow” sound into the backpack
  
• If you already have it in your backpack so you don't have to add it, drag it out and drop it back into the backpack
  
• Drag it and drop it on the sprite selector

This might be because of your computer in general. A real way to crash your WEBPAGE, is this:

when green flag clicked
forever
create clone of [myself v]
end

when I start as a clone
create clone of [myself v]
delete this clone

If you do this, the webpage will usually crash before scratch can even start the project.

I do remember this bug existing! For me it’s no longer replicable but I do remember this bug happening to me at one point
