There are plenty of reasons to like pumpkins, and for many, it’s a sign of fall. Pumpkins mean sweater weather and jumping in piles of leaves. They mean apple orchards with donuts and cider, and farms with corn mazes spanning forever.

And for those coffee addicts, it’s the new fall drops of Pumpkin Spice Lattes and Iced Pumpkin Cream Chais. The excitement to see Starbucks has dropped the new fall menu with cakes, muffins, and tarts filled with pumpkins galore.

Pumpkins, mean the holiday season is near. Halloween is around the corner with carved jack-o-lanterns sitting outside everyone’s porches. Little kids running around door to door, high on sugar.

To be honest, I don’t like pumpkins. Sweaters are itchy and bugs are probably hiding in those piles of leaves. Also, those leaves are rotting.I do love the colors of fall, but you will not catch me making leaf angels on the ground. Don’t get me wrong, I love apple cider and donuts but I’m not the biggest fan of farms and the smell of manure. I also love coffee, but pumpkin spice is overhyped. The Starbucks winter menu is better (also omg it came out today eeeeee). Halloween, is interesting. I don’t like carving pumpkins, the insides or too slimy and stringy. The pumpkins rot so easily too when you cut it. I go door to door while trick or treating and see bugs crawling in and out moldy pumpkins. I don’t like pumpkins in general, not a fan of the taste. Maybe I’ll like them someday…
