1. About Me
Hi there! I’m Chocolate, she/her and I am in the lovely PST timezone. Currently I am a Sophomore in High School and have participated in SWC since 2022. Some of my hobbies are reading, drawing, writing, and music.
Music is probably my biggest hobby that takes up most of my time. I have been playing the cello for 7 years now and was part of my school’s orchestra for a little while. In addition to cello, I’ve also been getting into guitar (acoustic and electric) and I’ve only been playing for a year. However, I practice almost everyday and like every hobby, there’s still tons of room for improvement. Aside from playing music, listening to music is also a huge part of my life. Some of my favorite artists are the Oh Hellos, BLÜ EYES, Olivia Rodrigo and Madilyn Mei.
In my freetime, you can usually find me drawing or immersed in a book on my cozy bed. I do like to read books, but unfortunately I haven’t been reading that much lately mainly because of homework and school. I also have a lack of motivation to read. But if I do get immersed in a book, usually it’ll tend to be fantasy, dystopian, and even a good mystery series. I’m even starting to get interested in the romantasy genre. These are also some types of genres I like to write in as well.
I also love binging TV shows such as Avatar: The Last Airbender, Wednesday, Emily In Paris, The Summer I Turned Pretty, and a k-drama show, When I Fly Towards You.
Finally, as for my writing experience, I have been into creative writing since I was a little girl. However, I became wildly obsessed with it since 6th grade which is when I discovered SWC. I like how SWC not only teaches me different writing styles, but it builds a sense of community for me (I’m an introvert and I’m really quiet in real life), it taught me to manage my time better and it taught me to be more motivated towards writing.
2. Experience
This will be my 9th session of SWC and my second time applying for a co-leader. Here are all my previous experiences in SWC
Fan-Fi November 2022 (inactive camper)
Real-Fi July 2023 (inactive camper)
Fairy Tales November 2023 (camper)
Script Theatron March 2024 (camper)
Folklore Fan Fest July 2024 (co-leader)
Sci-Fi November 2024 (camper)
Action Spiderverse March 2025 (camper)
Bi-Fi Festival of Fae July 2025 (camper)
I won’t go into that much detail about my experience because I go into each session more in my app theme, but I will say that SWC has taught me so much especially being a co-leader. SWC has taught me responsibility, flexibility, leadership, collaboration and time management.
When I did lead in July 2024 with Sun and Aurora, that session had really given me the leadership qualities and responsibilities of an SWC cabin. I know that every camp is different and I thought that it was crucial for me to get to know the SWC community on a leadership side as well. I also got to meet new friends along the way, which really made the experience fun!
In addition to SWC, I’ve also hosted my own writing camp on scratch, Writing Universe Camp (WUC) where we focus more on writing improvement rather than competition. Hosting WUC requires me to be dedicated and organized towards camp and teaches me to be responsible. It has also prepared me to be confident in all leadership roles.
Leading both Folklore and hosting WUC has equipped me for any scenarios or situations.
3. Cabin Preferences
First of all, I would like to start off by saying I would be open to co-leading any cabin that the leader has in mind, but I also have some ideas. The cabins I am most interested in co-leading in are Mystery, Thriller, Fantasy, Sci-Fi, and Dystopian.
My idea for Mystery (could also work for Fantasy or Thriller) is an escape room where campers have to go through a series of clues (asking leaders, solving puzzles etc.) to escape the room in a month, while at the same time, they have to solve a murder mystery which makes it challenging because campers have to multitask between both scenarios.
My second idea for Sci-Fi (could also work for Fantasy) is to be centered around an Artificial Intelligence (AI) theme where campers work together to build this AI machine that looks like a robot, but the AI just ends up as an evil machine that tries to murder a village. Campers have to work together to battle this AI machine through puzzles to get it to not be evil. It’s kind of like a big science experiment campers have to work through.
My final idea for Dystopian is to base it kind of on the movie/book, The Giver, but my idea is that at the beginning of the month, this world is black and white, so campers have to work together so that in the future, the world is lived in color. However, there are these lead guardians who try to stop the campers from making the world color.
I would prefer not to co-lead Folklore again mainly because I already led it before and it would help me to think outside the box better.
As for TCTWNW, this session, I would be open to taking a step back from the competitive part of SWC and leading a more laid back, goal-oriented cabin.
4. Excerpt
this was my writing comp entry for the July 2025 session!
warning: mentions of death
The End is Arising
I lean on my older sister, Julia, silently begging for a shoulder to cry on, watching the sun set over the hills. I stand with the rest of my family, trying to not make any noise — not even a breath. We all hug each other, knowing that we may never see one another again. The gunshots boom in the distant battlefield that awaits her. My heart beats faster as I take one last look at my sister, her brown hair flying in the wind. I want to apologize to her for all of the fights we’ve had, but we’re running out of time and I know I can’t take that risk to speak. It would put us all in danger, and I would never forgive myself if I let something like that happen.
Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock. Hours. Minutes. Seconds. Questions race through my head. What happens when the timer goes off? Will I ever see my family again? Is this the end of the world? I know it isn’t, but it feels like it’s the end of the world.
I can’t resist speaking to her. So I whisper to my big sister, “Big Sis, Will I ever see you again?”
She leans down into my ear and softly mutters, “I’m sorry, I don’t know. None of us do. But I love you, always.” A bundle of tears fills my eyes as I see her walk away. With a rifle in hand, she goes to the battlefield and waves one last time as the rest of us hug each other in tears. We are aware that we may never see her again. So many things can happen in a war. She could die. She could be paralyzed. She could be injured. But we have hope that she will survive because she has always been dauntless. If I were asked to describe my sister in three words, I would say she is ‘One courageous hero.’ She has always been protective of me. For example, when I was really little, there was a stranger who didn't respect who I was even though I did nothing wrong. However, my big sister stood up for me. She wasn’t afraid to speak her mind to say that I did nothing wrong. She was so confident and is a good role model in my life. Now it’s too hard to give her up and I never will. But she has taught me to never stop speaking my mind and be strong in my opinions because she loves me so, so much!
5. Time Dedication
In the month of November, I should be able to dedicate at least 1-2 hours each day. The only thing that could get in the way of cabin planning and co-leading is just the usual school and homework. However, I would make up for that time by spending more time on the weekends since I will be less busy than on weekdays. I think it’s most important to still maintain a healthy balance between SWC and school life which I am going to continue to do this session.
6. Time Management
I have always valued time management. However, over the course of the years and especially through my freshman year of high school, I discovered the best ways to manage my time.
One of my biggest strengths in time management is my organization skills. I love using calendars, to-do lists and schedules to stay organized. I believe this will benefit me in cabin planning because it will help my cabin run smoothly and make sure that cabin planning does not turn to chaos. This also helps me make sure the task gets done. It’s really refreshing checking a task off my list because I feel a sense of accomplishment and it’s less stress on my back.
Another strength in time management that I have is that I’m really good at knowing when to take a break. To me, balancing mental health and SWC is huge. This is a big priority especially when (co)-leading a cabin. If I’m dealing with a lot of stress between swc and school, I think that it is important to get my priorities straight first so that I’m not doing a million things all at once. Although I’m really good at taking lots of breaks, I’m not very good at switching between work and breaks, which can lead to my procrastination.
When it comes to weaknesses in time management, I’d say procrastination is definitely my greatest setback. I try really hard not to be so last minute on making decisions and doing homework, but like I mentioned earlier, it’s really hard for me to switch between taking breaks and doing homework. I’ve definitely gotten better at managing my time especially through my freshman year in high school last year. I learned to space out my studying and do a little bit of studying everyday. However, I tend to do the easier tasks more especially if I don’t understand something. I’ve been doing better in my classes lately learning tips wherever I go. I know SWC isn’t like school, but I think every (co)-leader should be able to prioritize their time and maintain a healthy balance between SWC and life.
7. Collaboration and Assets
One of my strengths in working with others is flexibility. I’m very easygoing with others and willing to hear other people’s ideas. In my opinion, there is no wrong idea, I try to hear out everyone’s ideas before jumping to conclusion making so that I can give everyone an environment where they’re free to share ideas.
Another of my strengths in terms of working with others is communication. Personally, I think it can be very confusing when there is misinformation being passed around. So I try my best to always keep my team up to date on logistics and important information. Communication can also be important in team-building and help to build each other up.
When it comes to my weaknesses, I can be very indecisive. Since I’m so easygoing and flexible, I find it hard for me to make quick decisions which can be frustrating at times. This can sometimes lead to my ideas becoming confusing especially if I’m just typing without reading what I’m writing. However, I do try to avoid this to the best of my ability in order to minimize the chaos in my writing.
As for my assets, I am very comfortable using canva as I use it for everything on scratch. I would also be open to drawing matching pfp’s or designing matching banners for my cabin.
8. Reason For Applying
SWC has made such a huge impact on my life ever since I joined in 6th grade, 2022. To put it simply, SWC is so much fun and every single session I’ve participated in has never failed to put on a smile on my face. I love the chaos we create and the memories we make together as a community. SWC has really helped me to find my identity and passion for writing. It’s so much fun seeing people’s cabin ideas come to life in this one virtual camp. The reason why I want to co-lead is because I want other people who may be new to SWC to experience how incredible SWC is, just like how others welcomed me into this lovely community. I also love the idea of planning a cabin with others and watching our ideas come to life. I truly would not be who I am right now if it wasn’t for SWC.
9. Cabin Atmosphere
“a collaborative, fun and relaxed environment that focuses on building connections, still with a touch of competition” (116 characters)
10. Checkboxes
Part A
I will be available to help add points in the main cabin consistently throughout camp
I’m willing to share a promo project for SWC
Part B
I can complete all listed responsibilities below!
Part C
In case of inactive leadership by myself, I would let the rest of my leadership team and host team know ahead of time. Also, I would make sure everything is running smoothly in the cabin and make sure that all of my tasks were completed before I go inactive.
In case of inactive leadership by someone of my leadership team, I would let the rest of my team and the hosts know so that we can plan accordingly for further steps to come up with a detailed plan.
11. Bonus Theme
First of all, my favorite season is Autumn so this session theme is perfect! My favorite autumn activities would probably be going out to a cafe to get an autumn beverage and anything outdoorsy. Autumn is such a beautiful season with lovely weather and so perfect just to go hiking and enjoy the changing of the leaves, which is my absolute favorite thing to do. I love watching the leaves turn from a light green to a bright orange and taking aesthetic photos of it.

Goals: do at least one weekly // continue to work on my ongoing writing project // approach hadestown rehearsals with a more positive attitude <3
to: kiara
from: chocolate
KIARAAAAA HIII <3333 you know who I probably am lol, but i'm chocolate and I hope that you are doing well and that school is going well. I really love the goals that you set for this session!
1. I think one weekly is a good goal to set because you're focusing on writing and improving your writing and not so focused on numbers and how many weeklies you complete, but the quality. i like how you set a goal to make it important to improve writing over how many weeklies you do. I think this is a good and accomplishable goal that you'll be able to meet, I believe in you kiara! <3
2. Ooooh this is actually interesting that you decide to set a goal to work on your writing project, my biggest advice about this is to probably write it out throughout the whole session rather than cramming it into a whole week so that you don't feel burnt out. remember to take breaks as well so that you can still continue to prioritize your life > writing project. and even if you don't finish its okay, there's always the future to work on it, in swc or in writer's block <3
3. OMG YES HADESTOWN MENTIONNNNN <3333 I really love how you include a goal non- wuc related because it shows how much you care for things outside of scratch/wuc <3 from what I can tell, you already seem like such a kind, caring, sweet and encouraging person whether that's during cabin planning or just commmenting in general
so I believe that you can contribute a positive attitude to Hadestown. Just remember to smile, continue to be encouraging during rehearsals and keep up the positive attitude even if you may not feel it <3 continue to be your amazing self on scratch and irl, I know that you will be positive in Hadestown rehearsals, just keep up the amazing and incredibly kind personality <33I hope that you will enjoy this session and reach all your goals and continue to be the amazing and outgoing Kiara!!
Best Wishes,
Chocolate <3

WUC Daily:
WUC hosties (hehe I am a hostie xD) should add the mascot of a cute little polar bear and I don't mean polar bears like the swc activity team, no. What I mean is that the hosties should include a fuzzy wuzzy little cute white polar bear named lint /jk well lint would be really cute because lint is white and I guess polar bears are like lint. Lint the Polar Bear will be the best because of its cuteness, softness, cuddiliness, fuzziness and chaotic, sweet nature. That's how I imagine my sweet little Polar Bear. Maybe next session Chocolate will make the decision to make the new mascot lint the polar bear xD
In all seriousness to get to the other prompt because why not, my favorite WUC mascot would probably be Snowy the precious Ikea Polar Bear (but then again I wish we had a polar bear named lint). I would probably choose Snowy the Polar Bear (not the leader xD well I love the leader too xDD) though because she's cute, fuzzy, linty /jk, cuddly, and will cause the most chaos during cabin wars, I guarantee it! /jjjj we know we all love chaos and because Snowy is the most chaotic polar bear, she is clearly the best <33
NOW ONTO TALKING MORE ABOUT LINT THE POLAR BEAR. Time to brain dump my potential ideas that I probably won't end up using hooray!! Let's start off with Lint the Polar Bear
1. very linty - we all love lint and world domination so we could just be like lets have a lint scavenger hunt as the main cabin activity where someone is the one who is stealing all the linty the polar bear mascots. and then of course we have to include the world domination part where to represent that all the cabins are competing against each other and get to throw each other off by giving each other irrelevant clues
2. LINT THE POLAR BEAR loves hairbrushes, but its favorite part is getting stuck in hairbrushes. It does not like lint rollers (if you like lint rollers, we can't be friends /jjjjjjjjjjjj) and of course loves World Domination so we have to include that part (which is clearly the best part) into the mascot
3. LINT THE POLAR BEAR IS ADORABLE <3333 polar bears are adorable including the swc polar bears who do the dailiesssss we all know that you're just going to pet Lint The Polar Bear so you better vote LINT THE POLAR BEAR FOR NEW AND BEST MASCOT because it builds up the foundation of this camp xD Without Lint The Polar Bear, there is sadness and no camp and i'm sure you don't want that
( so remember if you want camp to hold up, VOTE FOR LINTY THE POLAR BEAR RAWRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
thank you for reading my yapping and please please please vote for lint the polar bear <3
love,
the lint chaotic queen (aka chocolate)
PS. LINTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT DOMINATIOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNN
word count: 495 words (I may have doubled my word count, but yall should definitely vote for lint the polar bear for next WUC mascot)
write either a persuasive piece on your favorite mascot (whether thats squawaktoo, snowy, or mr onion) and why or some mascot ideas with their NAMES (give the NAMES, the names are the best part :'D) either way try and persaude the hosts with who you think is the best and/or mascot ideas? (help the hosties out a little bit) this daily is worth 250 points for your cabin if you write 200 words.

3. LINT THE POLAR BEAR IS ADORABLE <3333 polar bears are adorable including the swc polar bears who do the dailiesssss we all know that you're just going to pet Lint The Polar Bear so you better vote LINT THE POLAR BEAR FOR NEW AND BEST MASCOT because it builds up the foundation of this camp xD Without Lint The Polar Bear, there is sadness and no camp and i'm sure you don't want that
( so remember if you want camp to hold up, VOTE FOR LINTY THE POLAR BEAR RAWRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRthank you for reading my yapping and please please please vote for lint the polar bear <3
love,
the lint chaotic queen (aka chocolate)
PS. LINTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT DOMINATIOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNN
word count: 495 words (I may have doubled my word count, but yall should definitely vote for lint the polar bear for next WUC mascot)

WUC Weekly 1:
Part 1:
1. Crash. Kaboom. The thunder goes as I peek out my window. I see raindrops trickled down my bedroom window as I am just about to run outside and play. I am in a black tank top and ripped jeans so I run back upstairs and grab some heavier clothing. As I dig through my closet, I scramble to find my warmest sweaters and pullovers, but my closet is a complete disaster. With piles and piles of clothes on hangers, I finally find my wool fleece. I’m so fed up with this disaster I put it on without knowing what the consequences could be. (104 words)
2. She was already running when the sirens came down her street. Este was frightened. Her lover was in danger and she had no idea how she could possibly solve it. She turned her head to look at her friend’s reaction, but all she could see from her friend was an open mouth of shock. She was terrified. Este already knew what happened to her lover, but how was she going to prove it? Is there any way of proving the existence or non-existence of her lover? The words kept going off in her head. I think he did it, but I just can’t prove it. There’s no evidence and there probably won’t be any for a while. (118 words)
3. It had been days since he last cried at the funeral a few weeks ago. Until now, he was bursting into tears. A few weeks ago, he had lost his friend when they went scuba diving. They never found his body, but some say that he appears to still be out there, in the vast ocean. His body awaits the perfect lover to find him. Who is the lucky one? Who will be the one to chase his dreams? Who will be the one to carry on his legacy? Will anyone be able to carry on his legacy? Will anyone ever find him? Is he in the Underworld? Where is he now? What will happen to him? So many questions he couldn’t answer, but one stuck in his mind, Who is he? (133 words)
(361 words)
Part 2:
They didn’t mean to rob the train, but by the time they arrived at their destination, the gold was gone. Where did they go? Were they betrayed? Were they deceived? Until one of your members here’s a voice coming from the front of the train. It sounds like a call. It could also be an echo.
“ESTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” it echoed to the back of the train.
Este looks up, but sees nobody. Este looks back down at her phone and sees a ghostly figure in the reflection of her screen protector. She looks behind her, but then sees nobody again. She starts to shiver in fear, not knowing what’s going to happen next so she climbs down to the train car and sighs in reassurance. Her gold is still there, locked up safe in the train car. She grabs her briefcase, opens the train car door, looks left and right to make sure the coast is clear and locks the door behind her.
She turns right and sees a ghostly figure behind her on the red cushioned seats. She gives out a little scream and continues on. As she continues walking right, the ghostly figure walks left until it walks right through her train car door.
A few moments later. Gone. Vanished. The gold is nowhere to be seen. The train had just pulled up to the platform waiting to be unloaded. This was the last stop on the train so the conductor had to make sure everything and everyone including non humans were off the train.
Este walked back toward her train car when all of a sudden she screamed. Her gold was nowhere to be seen. She stood still looking at the empty space now filled with red cushions and had her hand over her mouth. She was shocked.

Part 3 (fear and grief):
Slowly, minutes tick by as you watch the red numbers on the timer go by. We all hug each other in grief as we take one last look at each other that could be the end. I feel the warmth of my sister coming to me like somehow her presence is still there. I hear their heart beat thump one last time, but my sister’s presence seems to still be there. I grasp her hand and so does she. We take one last glance at each other, acknowledging our faces, our personalities, our minds, our hearts, our spirits and we close our eyes unscrunching our faces, staying calm, breathing normally like everything’s okay. It’s all going to be okay I tell myself.
We open our eyes again, take one last look at the sun. The radiant beam on the city and the orange that comes off of it over the hills. It’s so pretty. I love the glow. I savor every moment and every last moment. This could be my last time here and I want to spend it with my family, my sister, the beauty of nature and everything around me. I take it all in, close my eyes, and squeeze my sister’s hand tighter. I love her to the ends of the earth and don’t want anything bad to happen to her. I will protect her no matter how much I try, I have to try. She smiles at me one last time and I smile back. We exchange similar looks of nods, smiles, laughs, joy, fear and sadness. I know this is all coming to an end. As the timer ticks faster and counts down, I come closer into my family’s arms and squeeze myself into their arms. All of a sudden, the timer stops, but I continue to still hug my family.
(306 words)
Part 4:
I wake up to hear thunder crashing. I lift the blinds slightly to see the white lightning in the sky, but all I see is nothing. Absolutely nothing. I just hear the sound roaring like a lion roaring in the sky. I shiver in fear, hiding under the covers, holding my stuffed animal cat. I hard creaking in my walls and I swiftly hide under my heavy blankets. Tears start to run down my face for no reason. I try hard to refrain from it, but tears start going down my face anyway. I look at my stuffed animal cat who is named “Cat” and I whisper “it’ll be okay, just stay together next to me and we will be fine!”
Of course, I knew better than to talk to a stuffed animal. Maybe it was just a way for me to get reassured that everything was going to be okay. I was safe. Cat was safe. We were all going to be fine. At least I hoped we were going to be fine. My head jerked up out of bed and I glanced at the clock. It read “11:11 pm.” The first thing I thought was: time to make a wish!!
I wished for the rain to go away. How silly of me was that. That was extremely silly, but then again it only just started to rain harder. As it rained harder my heart beat faster. And as my heart beat faster, the rain kept raining harder and harder. I was in shock. My fear levels went up and I screamed. My sister could probably hear me from the other room, but she didn’t care. Nobody cared what I thought. Nobody cared what I felt. Nobody even cared. I was on my own and had to do everything myself which included, dealing with fear and dealing with rain.
Then I suddenly heard a voice from the other room. It sounded like they were talking to someone, like a friend based on the conversation I overheard.
“Silly Sister!! She’s scared of everything! She’s such a coward! I can’t believe she would be scared of rain!” my sister laughed.
“Your sister does sound like a coward! No wonder she doesn’t have any friends!!” my sister’s friend replied with a little laugh.
My heart sank and I was at a loss of words. Now the tears really started coming down my face. I could hear my sister and her friend laughing the whole night about me and my weird personality. I could not get a single minute or second of sleep. All I could think about was the conversations I overheard with my sister and her friend.
So many thoughts rushing through my head. What do they really think of me? I’m really scared. Do they even care about me? Do they just think I don’t exist anymore? I run my fingers along my jawline and teeth thinking through all the possible situations. What happens if they like me? What happens if they don’t like me? Are they just making fun of me for the sake of making fun of me? What are their true thoughts? The rain stops pouring and I feel like I have more confidence in myself. So I pull the covers off my body, slip on my slippers, and slowly peek out my bedroom door making sure not to make even the slightest of sounds.
I hear them laughing and giggling over some silly game, but the dialogue becomes inaudible. I slowly walk to the area behind the wall and start listening in on their conversations.
“First things first, let’s prank her into telling us who her crush is if you say that she says that she is a crush.” my sister’s friend says.
“I can already tell you who her crush is and what they’re like!” my sister replied.
“Draw a card first and that will determine if you should tell me or not” my sister’s friend says with a smile.
My sister slowly grabbed the card from the deck and it read “Personality.”
“Now tell me what her crush’s personality is like?” my sister’s friend asks.
“Well, her crush is kind, pretty and smart. Maybe a little too smart…” my sister says.
I give out a sigh, heartbroken and betrayed. Why would my sister ever share that personal information with anyone? I run back to my bedroom and stuff my face into my blankets.

wuc daily–october 15
I look around the mysterious puzzles. Letters? I point my head towards the green blocks, the yellow blocks and the grey blocks.
“What is this? some kind of magic trick?” I think to myself. I watch the center of the screen as I see the letters being typed. “A-U-D-I-O” it spells.
“audio, really?” I say out loud. I look around. I don't see any headphones, just yellow block and green blocks on the first letter and the last letter. It highlights the “A” yellow and the “O” green for me. The rest of the letters are grey blocks. I see that the next word is yet to be typed. “T-A-N-G-O” it spells. I look at it in question.
“what's tango?” I ask, hoping to get a reply.
No response.
All I see is four letters, not including the first letter are all highlighted as green blocks.
“huh…that's interesting” I say as I let out a sigh.
Another word is coming, however. It spells- it buffers- it lags- And finally when it loads, a lightbulb goes off in my head. It's all green blocks.
It was all one word. One word that led to the others.
MANGO

WUC Bi-Daily: Thanking The Hosties
Cat: I'm going to whip this daily up quickly before I go to bed bc parents forcing me to sleep early xD but anways, Cat I remember asking you help me co-host WUC like after SAC or something xD I was really shocked and practically screamed when I woke up the next day to your reply. I was so overjoyed and couldn't wait until camp to begin and camp planning to start. I was genuinely really happy by your reaction–you had such a warm, friendly, and caring response and my heart had filled with emotion–I was at a loss for words. I had positive emotions all throughout that month and I think it was because I was too hyped up to host WUC with you. The minute after Sophia ascended into her Black Hole ghosthood, my energy and hopes were actually not brought down (yes it was sad that she no longer was a WUC host), but I kept telling myself and I was confident that WUC in April would turn out fine (and it turned out more than fine–it was wonderful). From the months of January to April to even now, I've felt like you've never let me down–you've always been there for me from the moment I met you on Scratch–always responding to my comments (WUC related, sleep related or other coversations xD)–and you still are there for me, I can feel it <3 Everything these past few months, WUC related, SWC related, SSS related and YOU related have been one of the best moments of my life! I'm so happy to know you as a hostie, a bestie, a friend, an SWC'er, a sister, and so so so much more and I can keep going on, but I probably should start wrapping up haha xD My heart is filling up with emotion right now and I am at a lack of words right now, but you are just a fantastic, incredible and amazing human being and friend <3 Anybody who knows you irl is so lucky in my eyes so hopefully that irl day will come because I am just beyond words how strong and wonderful of a person you are. You've been one of the best WUC hosts ever and I'm going to start crying now <3 thanks for everything cat :'D i wish i could just hug you now so imagine im hugging you irl right now hehe xD

SWC November 2025 2k Intro:
I wrote a 2k intro intending to write a 1k intro lolll
Hello Everyone! Happy SWC! <3 I'm Chocolate (she/her) co-leading Gothic this session with the amazing Kiara and Elly (and I could talk on and on about how wonderful those two are, but we can save that for another day). This will be my second time co-leading a cabin for SWC. The first time was when I co-led Folklore with Sun and Aurora. I'm 15 years old and am a Sophomore in high school. Sophomore year was been pretty okay so far, there's just a lot of tests every so often (I have a Comp Sci and French Test next week I should probable be studying for), but anyways, I'd rather be doing SWC than studying. This will be my ninth session of SWC I believe and every single SWC session as never failed to put a smile on my face. SWC has had such an impact on my life and it's so crazy that I'm still on this kid's coding website for the SWC community. I joined Scratch like in third grade to try to learn coding, but was't very interested in it so I stopped and then I discovered SWC in sixth grade at the same time of meeting Sophia (@dreamysolitude) irl. We kind of discovered SWC together like around the same session.
Anyways, as for my hobbies, my hobbies are ever changing. I'll start with Music! Music has been a huge part of my life ever since I decided to play the cello the summer of my third grade. I have been playing the cello for around 7 years and was apart of my school's orchestra for a little while. Unfortunately, due to my class schedule being too packed and busy, I had to discontinue taking Orchestra (which was sad), but I'm hoping that I can join an Orchestra (whether that's high school, college or adult life) back up again because playing the cello was really relaxing and fun. I do still try to practice when I can though. But besides playing the cello (which was an older phase), I recently got into playing electric guitar/acoustic guitar! I started playing when I was in second grade and then had abruptly stopped for a few years because my fingers were hurting (and that was when I played cello hehe), but last year it was really spontaneous, I was really bored and I decided to pull out my acoustic guitar (that I hadn't played in like ages), but I kind of lost interest in acoustic guitar so I decided to try playing electric guitar and I absolutely love electric! It's so cool to play around with guitar buttons and controls and amps (although i never use the amp hehe). Apparently, this is just a tangent but I feel like a lot of SWC'ers play the guitar and I'm on this guitar group chat on chaos site which is really fun <3 Another tangent, you should go check out my guitar friend Potang (@builder_53_studios). He has really cool guitar songs! Go check out his song Over You <3 Anyways, back to my guitar playing, so I still can't barre chord chords, so I can really only play the basic Em, C, G, D, E, A, Am etc. chords. Guitar has taught me to just keep persevering and that one day I can master barre chording and some other tricky guitar things and I plan to continue on with guitar if I'm not in Orchestra. Aside from playing music, I LOVE listening to music (i mean im literally listening to music rn, Dear Wormwood by the Oh Hellos go listen to it, it's great <3) My music taste is ever-changing. SWC has made such a huge impact on my music taste. I used to have an obsession with Taylor Swift, but now I think her songs are a bit overrated, too country and pop (sorry ris and swifties). But really the whole albums that have stuck with me is just her ‘Folklore’ and ‘Evermore’ albums. I used to be obsessed only with the songs ‘willow’ and ‘champagne problems’ but I feel like that has changed and now I'm more of a ‘Folklore’ girl. I love ‘my tears ricochet,’ ‘august,’ ‘cardigan’ and ‘no body, no crime.’ I know ‘no body, no crime’ is not Folklore, but it's still a great song <3 In addition to Taylor Swift, I'm also obsessed with Olivia Rodrigo. I really like the melody and the catchiness of Olivia Rodrigo and how I can sorta related to Olivia Rodrigo's songs, but at the same time I can't relate lol. I love her Sour and GUTS albums both truly and I literally cannot decide which one I like better <3 It's so funny I'm co-leading with (co)-leaders who are both livies xD I also love the Oh Hellos (again SWC influence). A few years ago, I became more open minded to the Oh Hellos after talking to Sun (@sunclaw68) so thank you Sun because the Oh Hellos are absolutely amazing! I absolutely love the ‘Dear Wormwood’ album (listen all the way through, it is the best experience possible) and then after looking through old SWC results projects, I also took an interest in the ‘Through the Deep, Dark Valley’ album which is amazing as well, but not as solid as Dear Wormwood. Although ‘boreas’ is absolutely amazing. In addition to the Oh Hellos, I also LOVE BLÜ EYES (again another SWC/Snowy influence). Ever since I started talking to Snowy (@snowdropsugar) about BLÜ EYES, a lightbulb seemed to go off in my head. I love how deep her lyrics are and just the overall melody of her style of music. I also love how some of her songs include guitar in them and I like to pretend I'm playing the guitar when really the songs are way too hard for me to play on guitar :sob: I've also gotten into Gracie Abrams (another SWC impact from Snowy). I really love her song ‘Close To You.’ It's just such a bittersweet song about being close to someone(?) im not entirely sure hehe and I love how pretty the melody is. Same with ‘Risk.’ Both of these songs are probably like my favorite Gracie Abrams songs. Madilyn Mei (thank you Cat (@catmeowlove7) for recommending it) is also such a wonderful study music. I love ‘Kleptomaniacrow’ (@Clay_Isles did such a great cover of it), ‘Partner In Crime’ and ‘To Exist With You.’ Finally, I love LOVE k-pop/j-pop. Starting with K-Pop, currently my favorite bands are ENHYPHEN and KATSEYE. My favorite songs are ‘Touch’ and ‘Gnarly’ by KATSEYE and then ‘Bad Desire’ by ENHYPHEN. I'm still pretty new to ENHPYHEN's music so if you have any song recommendations, let me know! :') Let's talk about my j-pop obsession: AKB48 (Team TP and Team SH), pronounced ‘a-k-b-forty-eight.’ This is another SWC influence (thank you yume (@yumetopia) and skylar (@milkysplash) I have no clue if they're j-pop or k-pop but I think they're j-pop? Some of my favorite songs are ‘High Tension,’ Śentimental Train,' ‘Go Now,’ ‘Yume E No Route,’ ‘Love Trip’ and so many more! I'm still pretty new to AKB48, but this is definitely a band I can get into.
In addition to my huge obsession with music, another recent hobby is coding (on python)(i cant code on scratch except basic functions:sob: ) which is actually what I'm doing in my Comp Sci class. I like how Python Coding pushes you to think a bit deeper without making it too hard (well it is a bit hard so if I ask for some Coding help in the main cabin then you know why lol). But I really like how you get a fun little drawing/design/game after doing all this coding hard work in general. It's pretty addicting once you understand what to do and know what functions and if statements etc. you know what to use lol. currently in my class, we're just doing simple if-elif-else, if-else, def () functions etc. I'm sure there's more, but for now that's a hobby that I'm interested in and learning about currently.
I also have always been interested in Science and Animals. I love how there's so much to learn about and I especially love the hands-on activities. Science really opens up a world of exploration and possibilities for me. Whenever I go to the Tidepools, I would want to just stay there for the entire day if tides didn't come in. I touched my very first starfish a couple years ago and it was such a golden experience <3 I've always thought it would be so cool to be a marine biologist and just explore the creatures that live inside the tide pools. And as much as I love Science and Animals, I do not like and can't stand spiders. But besides that fact, all the other animals are really cool. To talk more about Science, I LOVE learning about different genomes and genes and your DNA. I'm part of several STEM/Science Clubs at my school, one about Genes and DNA in diseases and the other one is just a general Biology club (that my sibling used to lead that my older friend has now taken over and is leading). Clubs is such a great way for me to just be social while at the same time learning about something I'm really passionate about, Science and Animals.
My hobby of Photography also goes hand in hand with my hobby with Science and Animals. Ever since I joined my Photography Club last year, I've felt that the club has really benefited my Photography skills. I really love how Photography is so useful for life in general. I specifically love when we talk about Phone Photography because it opens up possibilities to really understand and explore the camera functions on my phone. I feel like there's more to this, but just know that it's a hobby that I'm really passionate about and want to continue to learn and practice on.
And I guess I should have talked about this with my Music, but I love musicals! I recently went to NYC in July and saw the Musical Hadestown for my birthday and it was absolutely incredible, it was so deep and such a life changer omg <3 I also went to go see Wicked which was absolutely incredible, I was mindblown omg, both musicals were absolutely beyond words <3 Some of my all time favorite musicals are so many, but a few are Wicked, Hadestown, Dear Evan Hansen, and Hamilton <3 I love the music for all of them so much and just how much they put on a stage in a short period of time. Music and Musicals might be my favorite hobby because I love how I can just relax while watching it and sometimes singing along to the musical in the car ;'D Although, I've never acted on stage (only performed Orchestra on stage hehe), I still really appreciate how much the actors do to prepare for the musical and how incredible the actors sing is just beyond words <3 I'd give seeing/listening to Musicals a solid 10/10!
And I'm guessing TV Shows goes hand in hand with Musicals. But I absolutely love binging my favorite TV Shows Some of my favorite TV Shows are Avatar: The Last Airbender, Stranger Things, The Residence, When I Fly Towards You and Wednesday (of course, part of the reason I'm leading Gothic this session hehe) <3 Starting with Avatar: The Last Airbender, I just love the funny comedy in the show and just the light-heartedness of the show. My favorite character is tied between Katara and Uncle Iroh. Aside from ATLA, I also recently just started watching Stranger Things like a month ago and love it so much. I'm already on Season 4 and it's pretty intense and scary, but at the same time it's done super well <3 I also love the Residence which is like a mystery that happens in the White House. I won't spoil too much in case you want to watch it, but just know it's a really good show with such fun, mystery-filled, thrilling and suspenseful music. Finally, this is probably the show that I'm probably the most obsessed with, the C-Drama When I Fly Towards You. I recently got majorly obsessed when I heard a friend at my youth group was watching it and I decided to try it out, it's absolutely incredible <3 I love how sweet the characters are and I love how lighthearted and the music is so relaxing lol. But part of it is also that I love the character's personalities–sometimes funny, sometimes sweet etc. Oh and of course, there's also Wednesday (aka Gothic's cabin theme hehe). Part of the reason I chose to co-lead Gothic was because of I am like OBSESSED with Wednesday <33 I really love the mystery going on, while at the same time there's some humour tied in. I think Wednesday is such a well done show and the music is so good as well, but i think the highlight of the show is the humor and the mystery going on at the same time. But really the highlight is everything–from Thing (i love thing), to the characters to just the vibes from the show, to Enid's happy character to the drama going on in the school to so much much more <333
Obviously, there's so many more hobbies that I am passionate about like Writing, but here's a brief writing spiel here. i've always been interested in creative writing. I love how much you can put onto paper and it's just so fun to see my ideas come to life in a fun story and SWC has impacted my life even more as I love the different dailies, weeklies and I love the idea of Word Wars and Critiquitaire and the Writing Competition. I think that SWC has taught me to just keep writing and never stop and go back to edit something because I feel like if I keep going back and editing things, then I never finish a piece. The only times I finished a piece was my writing comp entries in SWC, but that's about it lol. Anyways, I'd better get wrapping up now, SWC has had such an impact on my life and I can't wait for all the memories and chaos I get to make this session. Thank you for reading and Happy SWC everyone! <3

SWC Daily #3: Did you know that jellyfish are 95% water? You might be wondering why this daily contains such a random fact — and that's because today is World Jellyfish Day. In honour of these weird and wonderful creatures, your task today is to incorporate jellyfish into a story of 400 words for 400 points (and claim an extra 100 points for sharing proof)
Oreilia was a girl who loved the ocean. She loved exploring the tidepools and going scuba diving with her friends. She loved the sensation of having the water crawl up to her feet and then recede back into the ocean. She had loved anything ocean related ever since she was a little girl. She would always beg her mother and big sister to come with her to the ocean since she and her family lived right across the street from the ocean.
“Please, Mami! I beg you, can we go to the ocean?” she would ask.
“No, Oreilia dear! It’s too risky and dangerous out there” Mami would always reply.
One day, however, she didn’t ask her mother and sister for permission to go out to the ocean and she thought she was fine, but really it was too risky for her to be out alone.
“Hey! Have you seen Oreilia?” Aurora, my big sister asked.
“Check her bedroom! She’s usually locked up, listening to her music in there.” Mami replied, frantically trying to wash the dishes.
Aurora climbs the master stair case, each step creaking like they’re in some creepy old haunted shack. She finally reaches my bedroom and all she sees is bed covers flipped over, the window open and stuffed animals all over the room. Aurora lets a sigh and hurries back downstairs.
“She’s not in her room!”Aurora says to my mother, worriedly.
“Are you sure she’s not hiding somewhere in her room, reading her favorite book?” my mother asks, frantically doing too many things at once.
My mother is currently holding five plates, four cups and 1 pot all in her hands. She shakes a bit trying to get to the nearest counter and Aurora says, “You’re doing way too many things all at once! Let me handle something so you don’t hurt yourself!”
“No, it will be fine! I can do it all by myself!” my mother continues, thinking she can do everything all at once.
I glance out the kitchen window at the ocean waves and there she is. I see Oreilia standing all by herself, watching the sunset being extinguished slowly going away.
I run out the front door, forgetting all about my mother and call her name, “Oreilia!!”
She takes a look at me, her back facing the ocean and makes a malicious face expression. Suddenly, I hear the scream from the same place where Oreilia is standing.
“OWWWWWWWW, HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
I sprint across the road, across the sand until I realize who’s screaming. It’s Oreilia.
“Where?” I ask.
“My footsies,” she cries.
“Lift your leg” I reply, trying to help her.
She lifts her leg and there it is a 10 in Box Jellyfish, stinging her right there on the bottom of her foot. I see that it’s all swollen and red and worst of all, there’s a gigantic hole in the bottom of her foot.
“Medic! SOMEONE WE NEED A MEDIC!!” Aurora screams, carrying me to safety. And then suddenly I hear a scream from our home…

SWC Weekly 1 in Progress
Part 1: Poetry
Floating High Among The Clouds
Aurora could be very loud.
The sorrow tows the city.
And the city is plowing through the night.
A bright morning rises
But to my demises,
There is no morning
But there is only night.
A gentle rain pelts the village
Until we sing a song upon a pillage
We laugh, we play, we mourn
Until we are slowly torn apart.
My sadness nears
I sulk in tears.
I dance around my room
Knowing this will be the last tear
I say my last goodbyes
To the people who were my highs
I give one laugh, one
Hug, and I wave to a bunch.

Part 2: Songwriting
Walking through the hallways
I walk towards crowds, whispering
Do I stand out?
What's wrong with me?
Can they just stop staring?
Stop judging?
I'm invisble.
No one noticed.
Wishing for someone to talk to.
All I long for is a buddy.
I've never felt so happy.
Just let me be free.
Just for once.
Just someone to talk to.
Oh I'm invisible.
Not noticed by anyone.
Wishing for someone to talk to.
All I long for is a friend
I won't crawl out of my cave.
Not unless you notice me.
My heart sings with a melody,
eyes wandering for a harmony to see me
I heard your voice from afar,
but never heard me from the river.
Wait for me!
Somebody, please,
It's like I'm never even there.
Oh I'm invisible, invisible.
Nobody notices me, notices me
Wishing for someone to talk to.
All I long for is a comrade.
Am I invisible?
Are you there?
Am I invisible?
Are you haunted by me?
When I'm calling your name,
but you're not there
Please, come
Tip toe a little slower,
I speak too soft
Into the black hole,
there's no way out of here,
I stand still,
not moving a muscle,
waiting for someone to find me.
Not a single person.
No body even notices me.
I have decided,
that I'm just an invisible girl,
waiting to be seen.

FINLEY: yo wassup Choco!! are you hyped for IRL swc??

CHOCOLATE: Oh No, what's with Thor?
FINLEY: Oh it's nothing! Thor's just being a little sneaky and mischievous right now ehehe

CHOCOLATE: Hi Thor!
FINLEY: Hey! Get back here *muffled*

KIARA: yep, I for sure will! *wi-fi cuts out*
- *Kiara's wifi cuts out* and Cat wakes up
CAT: Chocolate, I said I wanted to sleep and all I hear is Kiara's gorgeous voice, I'm seriously laughing right now!

CAT: We've reached it, the place of no internet…aka the place of chaos and fun memories!

Part 4: Speech
Have you ever doubted yourself at something that you thought you weren't good at? I'm sure that we've all had that feeling. We all probably have had that feeling where we didn't think we were good at something, whether that would be writing or drawing or art or singing or music. Personally, I've definitely felt it especially when playing music. Rather than trying to work through it and figure out how to play the notes and correct the mistakes, I tend to stop playing and transition to a totally different hobby.
I realized that every hobby you will make mistakes, so transitioning to a different hobby doesn't actually help you if you think about it. If you keep transitioning hobbies because you think you're not good at something so you just forget about that hobby, then it's like you don't have any hobbies and that's a pretty boring life if you don't have hobbies. Let's take music for example. If I played one line over and over on the cello, but still didn't get it and I quit the cello, I wouldn't be where I am with the cello today. We tend to tell ourselves ‘I can’t do this' or ‘I give up’ or ‘This is too hard.’
To be totally honest, we say ‘this is too hard’ and other stopper statements to put a label on our hobbies, but all we need to do to succeed is practice. Instead of giving up on our hobbies or ambitions, we should try to keep working at them and just keep practicing them because we all have the capability to do it. We just have to have the stamina and endurance and motivation to work towards it.
If we don't have the motivation, we have to remember to remind ourselves phrases like ‘I can do it,’ ‘Let’s keep working on this' or ‘We got this!’ These filler phrases helps us to have a positive mindset towards our hobbies and ambitions in order to reach our goals.
As for goals, we shouldn't set too high of a goal, instead we should set ourselves a manageable and a goal that we are able to reach. For example let's take writing. If we're setting a writing goal for just today and had to set a writing goal, Instead of setting an unreachable goal like ‘Write 50,000 words all in one day,’ we should set more of a writing goal like ‘write 2000 words today’ or something simple like that. It obviously depends on how much time you have on your hands and how much you want to write, but setting a reasonable goal makes it easier on our mental health so that we're not all stressed out by all the other events that could be happening in our lives.
That's It! So the next time you're stressed out and feel like giving up, remember to set yourself a manageable goal that you'll be able to reach in that period of time and remember to never give up. I believe in you all, thanks for reading! <3

SWC Daily: Matching this session's theme, fall, this daily will be all about pumpkins! Maybe it's an essay on why their good for you or writing a story from the perspective of a pumpkin, anything to do with a pumpkin counts! Make sure to write 250 words to gain 250 points, and add an extra 100 if you share. Good luck!
Skylar was a girl who loved anything autumn related. In fact every year she would go to a pumpkin patch festival every fall, with her friends and she had an absolute blast. She had so much fun, picking her pumpkin, whether it was Orange, White, Yellow, Brown or all the other pretty fall colored pumpkins there were to choose from.
She had such a fun time laughing with her friends about AKB48 and Pumpkins that she would forget all about the time. One day was a particularly bad year of pumpkin picking however. They were all rotten. Every single pumpkin was rotten with dead bugs in every single one of them. It seemed like everything was fine this year for the poor pumpkins, but the pumpkins or the rotten pumpkins came unusually late this year. Like December?
‘Who wants rotten pumpkins in December? And No pumpkins in October?’ Skylar thought to herself, waiting for her friends to show up at the pumpkin patch field.
She kept conversing with her inner self and started to panic about where her friends were. She texted her friends once more. It read:
“Hey Guys! Just to let you guys know, I'm sitting on a bench at the pumpkin patch field like we do every year. I hope you can join me, just please leave me a reply so that I know that you guys are alive.”
No response. It had been four hours and still nothing. Her heart started racing faster and she started breathing harder. She texted again with an up arrow, ‘^’ Finally, as Skylar was just about to go home to her family, she got a response from her friend, Clara.
“i cant make it” Clara had texted, last minutely. She cursed to herself and to her friends for ditching her and headed out, realizing that this friend group was not going to be the right fit for her after all.

SWC Daily: Some people leave footprints on your heart. Today’s daily is for them. In honor of Remembrance Day, write about someone who had a meaningful impact on your life. Maybe they inspired you, supported you, or just made things a little brighter. Whether they’re someone you knew personally or admired from afar, write a 400-word letter to them. What would you say if you could thank them, remind them of a moment you still think about, or just let them know they mattered. This daily will earn you 500 points. Please don’t include real names or overly personal details if you’re sharing it on Scratch <3
Dear Celeste (lestie) <3
I've decided to write a letter to you for the SWC daily because I honestly miss you so so so much and I kept thinking about all the possible options of who I could write too, but in the end, I just kept going back to you over and over until I finally realized I will write to you. I miss talking to you. I miss laughing with you. I miss planning more birthday projects for you xD I miss when you pop up in my messages to check in on me. I'm not exactly sure how to start this because I tried so hard to think of what to say to you and my heart just filled with emotion and tears <3 but maybe I'll take a stab at this and just ramble and see how this turns out xD I can't believe we've only just met each other like last SWC session. I've felt like I've really gotten to know you more whether it was through SWC, the birthday project planning or even just when you pop up into my messages to say hi. I love how much you care for me and other people. I feel so excited every time I go to talk to you. It's like we're having an irl conversation. I feel real in our conversations. You're such a kind and sweet friend and I love all the compliments you give to me or whoever else. My days are genuinely brighter every time you pop up into my messages. I love the chaos and energy you bring to SWC, you never fail to put a smile on my face (and lets be honest i hope you can join SWC again). And I remember when you first commented on my profile asking for my help to help you organize the birthday project for Sky. It was so thoughtful, kind, and caring for you to even think of doing such an idea! It was such a blast planning that project with you on canva and to this day, I still reflect back on that moment when I feel sad. When I feel down, I think of not only this community, but you're one of the people that I really look up to and think about on here <3 You're so encouraging, wonderful, sweet and no doubt it is beyond words how incredible you are <3 And although you had to leave scratch (which was heartbreaking and sad), I never gave up a hope. I had hope that you still thought of me and I had hope that you could come back to scratch some day and it happened (well kind of), i mean you snuck on, but that doesn't matter. All that matters is YOU. I want to let you know that I'm here for you, this community is here for you, we're all here for you and we miss you, I miss you <3 Hopefully you can come back and sneak back on again to read this message, but for now know that me and this community are thinking of you. I LOVE you so so so so so much lestie so imagine I'm hugging you right now and talking to you irl (oh dear here comes the tears *sniffles*) and i hope that one day we can get fully back in touch again without having to have you sneak on (irl perhaps?) umm lestie, sky and anyone else who knows who irl is so so lucky in my eyes and i wish i knew you irl (and i will hopefully make an effort for that to happen someday) you're one of the best people i've every met here <333333333333333333333 (imagine there's a trillion more hearts, but that would just get repetitive) have the best day ever!! ;D
Love you always,
Chocolate ;D

SWC Propmpt: Happy World Kindness Day! To celebrate, write a kind message to someone in your life, whether it's a swc participant, parent, or someone else. You can also do a random act of kindness for someone, maybe hold the door open, or bake a sweet treat for your sports team. Although this daily isn't worth any points, we'd love to hear what act of kindness you did in the comments of the main cabin <3 Have fun!
snowy: BLÜ EYES-Gracie TWIN!! I'll keep this short and sweet since I have to go in like 20 minutes or so, but I just want to tell you that you're an absolutely amazing friend! Even just yesterday when I said I needed encouragement, I was so so grateful and happy that you were one of those people who cheered me up and supported me–you're one of those people who just make me feel so happy to be on scratch everyday! I love how encouraging you are and I love how you really open yourself up to me in case I need someone to go to. When I talk to you, I feel so comforted and supported and just included in this community <3 I was honestly shocked, but at the same time I was also practically tearing up when you wrote your support message to me and I'm starting to tear up now, but anyways, you are just so incredible like it is just so crazy I cant even comprehend such a person–you're more than incredible in every way, it's beyond words how lucky i am that we crossed paths and I hope you can continue you to be your amazing self, continue to listen to your awesome music (BLÜ EYES and Gracie Abrams For The Win!) I feel really inadequate words right now, but just know that i love you so so so much snowy and am thinking about you <333 this was not short lol
livy: livy, you're so COOL <33 i love talking to you over chaos site and on scratch whether we're talking about serious things or silly things or its talking on the family chaos site channel or just in general–i treasure all our conversations so much and i love getting the chance to talk to you when i can <3 i love how chaotic you are in the main cabin and just the overall vibes from you–you're a really fun person in general and i really hope that we can continue to grow our bond, keep up your amazing and incredible self to where it takes you for the rest of the session and beyond <3
eva: you're awesomeee!! I can't believe we've only met each other like last session in Bi-Fi which is crazy to believe because it feels like SO SO much longer–you're so kind, sweet, encouraging and supportive <3 i love getting the chance to talk to you and I hope we can continue to talk more, and grow our bond! you're genuinely such a cool person and i love your creation of Chai last session (speaking of that, say hi to chai for me!) I'm not sure what else to say because i feel really inadequate for words right now, but i just want to let you know that you should never give up on your dreams, continue to reach for the stars or shoot for the moon (whatever that saying is xD) and just continue to be your amazing self because i believe in you eva. just continue to follow your passions and you will go far and remember we, me and all the swc'ers are here will support you no matter what–overall its just beyond words how incredible of a person you are <3

Writing Comp Entry (Poetry)
Je m'appelle Chocolate
I gazed into the mirror,
Glancing at every part of me,
From my pale cheeks,
To my thin legs.
I walked away,
and I rejected
every single part
of myself.
I was lost,
in a world,
that I could
never escape.
Who really was I?
A girl?
A friend?
A writer?
An artist?
A sister?
I felt like I
was in a
whirlpool,
of emotions.
A tear rolled,
down my face,
and then it was
like a single,
raindrop,
on my face.
I doomscrolled.
Through my socials,
I found so many more,
people with
better lives.
My heart sunk,
and it started to beat faster.
I thought about,
all the boys,
around me.
And the one,
with the twinkling eyes.
Was I good enough for him?
Was I pretty enough for him?
Another tear rolled down,
turning into a rainstorm.
I stepped out,
onto the stage,
Trembling in fear.
Was I beautiful enough,
for the audience?
Was I perfect?
Another tear,
rolled down,
my face.
And that tear,
turned into a,
hurricane.
at first,
my voice was,
not heard.
afraid of myself,
I sat in the dark,
being lost.
but gradually,
my voice became,
a light in the dark.
although i am quiet,
I learned to,
rise like,
a sparrow.
I had flaws.
I made mistakes.
I questioned myself.
I doubted myself.
But one thing I knew for sure,
I was me.
I was Chocolate.
And I wasn’t going to let anyone,
Or anything get in the way.

SWC Weekly #3: Procrastination
Part 1
Causes of Procrastination:
- I simply don't want to do the task
- I have better other things to do
- the task takes up too much of my time
- i would rather be doing swc and writing this weekly
- i would rather be watching movies and i can't do the task while watching a movie because thats distracting
- i love procrastination
- the task is too hard and i dont have the motivation and brainpower to do it
I'm simply not doing this task because this task takes up too much of my time and I have no motivation to complete it right now at this moment. Part of why I have no motivation to do this task because it's simply just too boring and I would rather be in a world of doing fun stuff, but obviously we don't get to choose what we want to do in this world. However, we do get to choose how we spend our time. Time management is key and really important since you only have a certain amount of time and you have to figure out how to use it wisely. For me, it's not that I don't want to completely do it, but it's just that I tend to put off the task and do something more fun, like watching a movie or listening to music than the task I'm procrastinating on. And I can't just watch a movie while working on the task because it's distracting and I'll just end up watching the movie. Another reason why I'm procrastinating on the task that I'm putting of is that I would much rather be doing swc and writing this weekly. I love SWC too much which causes me to forget all about my priorities and end up spending HOURS on SWC and just reading main cabin comments. I will admit that this is not a great way for me to spend my time and I am still working on managing this area of my time.

Part 2:
Listening To Music:
I absolutely adore listening to music! I have like a multitude of playlists. However, one thing that really helped when I am doing homework or just work in general is that I either listened to my lo-fi playlist or I listened to my French playlist. I actually found it really distracting listening to a playlist that is the same language as the task that you are doing. This way when it's French or Lo-fi, it's still music, but in a different and less distracting style and I feel like I'm just more likely to get work done when it's not the same language you're task is in.
Nap:
Sleep is good, even though I don't get enough of it. I don't usually take naps, but this time around. I felt really refreshed and good after my nap because it feels like i'm alert and ready to learn. I felt like my brain was fresh, clear and I was able to actually think clearly. Overall, I felt like this method helped to reduce my procrastination and stay focused, not getting too distracted by SWC and opening scratch. I would like the chance to try to do this strategy more because it really helps. I think the reason why I didn't do it at all because I felt like I had too many things on my plate and I felt like I had to just keep working at these tasks, but in the end I just learned that doing too many things at once can cause me to get really unmotivated and start procrastinating.
Spending Time With Family:
When I'm not sending wars or talking on SWC or being on the internet or doing homework, I spend time with family! I like to plan in downtime with family where we basically watch movies together as a family after we finish doing homework and we'll also eat dinner together. I think this really helps to remind ourselves that family is priority over anything else as they are the ones that support, love and encourage us <3 I love how spending family not only is a break from screens, but it's also a way to bond together and grow a relationship with family. I think this is probably the most important thing on the list just because your family is the people who know you the best and will love you the best even if you think that a friend loves you or you love a friend more. overally family is the most important thing in my life even more than swc as it should be <3

Part 3:
I tried doing time blocking to help with my time management. As an organized person myself, this method really helped me to put structure in what's important and what tasks I should be doing when. This really helped me to delegate a certain amount of time to each task and eventually I was able to get the task done. There might have been like a few times where procrastination got in the way for like 10 minutes (and I checked Scratch), but I feel like I would just need to set lower time blocks and longer breaks so that I'm getting more done with less procrastination.
In addition to time blocking, I also tried Eisenhower's Matrix as well since I was feeling extra motivated ahaha xD Like I said in the previous task I tried, I'm just a really organized person in general. One benefit I got from this technique was that it helped me to prioritize my tasks and know which tasks are more important than others, but putting each task in one of the four boxes. I thought it was also helpful to make a box where it has all the things that I shouldn't do during locking in time! A limitation that I came across was that I had rarely anything in the “Delegate” box because I felt like I didn't need any help with anything. But for now, maybe I would eventually use this method more often and use the ‘delegate’ box more in the future. But overall, I thought this was a good way for me to stay extra motivated and get my priorities straight, knowing which tasks I should do first. In general, I feel like this would be a method I could use more often. I could also even try changing up the boxes and making the boxes what new categories, it would just depend on what I'm doing of course!
