I think we should be able to leave classes because I have a student account and want to leave my class because it is a third grade class
Some people would just tell me to leave this account and make a new one but I have made a ton of progress on this account and don't want to start over.

i mean they could probably see no use in a scratch account anymore and has no need to leave

it (in most cases) matters to have the student think usually does not.

How about a convert button.
The button would be somewhere on your profile and will bring you to the account creation screen upon clicking it. After making a new account all your previous projects would be put on your new account with the same amount of likes and favourites. You would also join all your studios with the same perms. Your followers would be asked if they want to follow you on your new account.

Or the teacher can set a date for when the class will deactivate itself, removing everyone from the class and also deleting the class. (But keeping everyone's accounts fine.

i support this, my account was created for a school class and i will now forever be stuck in it until scratch does something for this

I agree with a new option for able to leave a class after a certain time and I made this account for a class

what abt when the class is deleted keep the users and free them from the class.

+1. i've been stuck in a class for almost five years and left that school over 15 months ago. i even submitted a support ticket before realising you could not exit a class. very much support.
