This has really been annoying, especially when I am trying to draw a sprite. Whenever I use the right arrow key to slightly shift the drawing to the right, it switches to the sound editor. This isn't a feature anymore, it is just getting annoying. If this could be fixed to where the arrow keys can't switch between the code, costume, and sound editor that would be great!

Wow I didnt even realize that, must be a new thing I hope they revert this change because its not useful
So far it seems that switching to a different costume and back fixes the bug temporarily

I don't think this is a feature, just a bug. It's happening to me too, and it's very annoying when I'm trying to get costumes in a precise position.

Very annoying when working on games that use arrow key control, or trying to shift images around.

Oh yes, I've been having this issue and I would like it fixed! I'd still keep the Shift + Left/Right Arrow shortcut but disable it when drawing in the costume editor.

you can still do this by holding ctrl and pressing the arrow keys

Same here, can't even copy/paste and move something in the costume editor without it switching editors…

It's a new glitch I also have. Only solution for now is to save the project and refresh and it'll stop. Hopefully it gets patched soon

(also I just realized this form randomly got bumped so sorry if this is old by now)

i've seen this and yeah that is REALLY annoying

I think it happens because clicking the canvas doesn't deselect the tab. Clicking on anything except the paint editor canvas before pressing the keys fixes it for me

Correct. scratch-gui has not gotten any PRs to change this.
