An extension is at least 2 blocks so I guess we can also add a urls in a project reporter(url scratch.mit.edu/[discuss/topic v]/ []::extension)//I feel like extension makes more sense in my opinion

this would be really cool especially because you could do something like
(url scratch.mit.edu/ [projects v] / (pick random (104) to (1000000000)) as text [] :: operators)to go to a randomized project

There aren't many text-based interfaces built into Scratch. Say, think, ask, lists, and variables are the only places you could use this block. The other idea, however, allows you to use anything except these blocks, making it much more versatile. It would allow adding links to text engines in a way this suggestion does not. Button links would also work with this system.This is a duplicate.That's a block that sends you to one. This allows you to create a clickable link, rather than instantly sending you to one.
That said, your suggestion would be more backwards compatible with older offline editors. Instead of breaking a project with an unidentifiable block, it would simply show something like this instead of the actual link:

It's broken, but the project will otherwise still work.
