HELLO!!!! Today I came to talk about a thing that need to reach scratch IMMEDIATELY! to make scratch better
IMPROVIMENTS TO THE FEATURE PAGE!
this page needs new stuff about featured projects
since many people put a lot of effort into creating projects and suggesting other good projects to be featured,BUT AT THE END THE PAGE HAS COPIES OF PLATFORM AND CLICKER GAMES!
and it really hurts to know that they reiterated their projects through several copies made for fame
then a good suggestion is:
A new page of projects that are in the featured studio but have not been featured
It will appear below the list of featured projects! so everyone can see the scratchers' efforts!

Featured projects and featured studio projects literally the same so I consider this implemented.

are not the same, studios contain projects of a specific theme, while projects are the themes
You can suggest your studio to be featured and the projects can't
by the way, we really need some improvements in the featured projects tab

Featured projects are hand-selected by the Scratch Team and, in my honest opinion, are pretty diverse and not at all generic. How would a second column avoid falling into the same patterns of generic platforms and the like?

Additionally, no project can be featured twice, and a project can’t be featured if the Scratcher who made it has over a certain number (800, I believe) of followers.

Wrong, I think…
There’s a project in the featured row that is from a scratcher with over 3000 followers as of writing. I believe what you meant is: the scratch team prefers to feature projects from users with not a lot of followers

Pretty sure this is rejected but I could be wrong

7.16 Change the types of projects to be featured
The Scratch Team has a list of types of projects they are looking to feature in the Propose Projects to be Featured studio. Such a list has existed for years, and the Scratch Team is happy with the kinds of projects they have been featuring. While some Scratchers are unhappy with the types of projects being featured, it is ultimately up to the Scratch Team to decide what to feature.

So, I think this is really two suggestions being put together.

Suggestion 1: a function to studios that allows for a studio owner or manager to feature/pin a set of projects
-> this is okay to put forth for consideration

Suggestion 2: exclusion of clickers and platforms from SDS studios and other featured studios.
-> this is NOT okay to put forth for consideration, because it is a discriminatory agenda rather than a suggestion. Scratch was designed for beginners and young children in mind, and platformers and clickers are popular beginner-type projects. To exclude them would mean going against Scratch's values.

You can re-make the suggestion thread for #1, but keep in mind #2 is inappropriate/rejected.
