Hm… I could… I don't have many characters though. Not to say that I can't have an FWO agent suddenly appear and be confused. They'll promptly disappear afterward. This can take place in the background or the foreground, take your pick.

Could be either but foreground would most likely be the most confusing b/c the cats would be near there so i would say middleground (inbetween) ig

I'll leave it up to you, but putting them in the center of attention could mess up your plot some while having them in the background would be enough to make a reference without being too plot relevant.
