PART ONE (280 words)

This weekly will feature Rowan Mauvais, the main protagonist on Lumier Terra, a planet formerly known as earth. Rowan lives in a dystopian, Hunger Games-esque world in which a select few have special…Gifts. These “gifts” are not welcomed in “normal” communities, and, if found out, are (usually) either, uh, 3xecut3d or treated very badly. Yaaay! Aaanyways, Lucille, Rowan's younger sister, was born with the gift of prophecy. (uh also Rowan has the power of creation)
As it turns out, Lucille was the first prophet to appear in centuries. So, naturally, the government needed to keep her for themselves to win the ongoing (surprise, surprise) w@r between Juno (another territory, the “bad side,” according to the government) and Lumier Astral (the self-proclaimed capitol of Lumier Terra). So, Lucille and Rowan are on the run, and just want to find a safe harbor blah blah blah. Rowan and Lucille are still learning about the dangers of Lumier Terra, and of the people who live on it.
The climate varies drastically depending on the territory someone lives in, and different species of varying dangers inhabit these territories. Lumier Astral has a relatively normal climate, like south Wisconsin. Juno, on the other hand, has a tropical climate, like Cuba or Puerto Rico. On the third hand, (wait…what?) Theia, yet another territory, is an icy and mountainous region with an extremely cold climate, like northern Canada. Theia has the least amount of dangers, due to its climate. One of the other two territories not mentioned in the story, Frey, (the other being Pyros) has the highest Danger Density (a term I just made up) due to its deep and immense forests. Hope this makes sense!
