Every day It seems more and more features are being removed from the website, I am growing concerned.
This change was made July 18th, 2025.

I would like to see it return and perhaps gain some transparency on why it was removed in the first place. I mean, even the entire API endpoint is straight up gone.

This served as a way for new projects to gain attention, so it really sucks to see it go, especially since I enjoyed perusing said projects.

The reason it was removed was due to some projects having some questionable thumbnails

Inappropriate projects (and I don't mean it lightly) were showing up on the recent tab, so I find it very unlikely that it will return. It's not possible for the ST to ensure that projects in the recent tab are safe for being such an accessible part of the website

It really is a different era of Scratch, huh?

I don't really want to take sides here, but the recent page seems susceptible to spam.

There are more active users than ever, which means that there are more trolls. The ST can't really afford to loosen stuff up these days

I'm holding out hope that somewhere, somehow, there's some solution that isn't just straight up removing things. Really sucks to see features go, especially ones that give attention to newer Scratchers go away like this.

ST doesn't have a record of re-adding (or adding things at all really, no offense, I understand the stakes here) features so my hope is likely in vain.
