Scratch: Coding Buddies

Scratch: Coding Buddies

Okay, what if there was a scratch spin-off where you have a coding buddy you choose and you go on a journey to stop a villain (will be decided by the scratch team but kaj will be likely) that stole the scratch blocks, you do it by coding programs to level up your buddy and pass the levels. Once you're done, it recommends going to scratch online or offline to continue coding.

Buddies include scratch cat, gobo and their friends, scratch cat Jr, tic tac and toc, and some unique characters.

This could be a good intro to scratch and teaches you the basics, helping you develop the skills you need to code on scratch.

Are there anything constructive to add on or some complaints, reply here!

I honestly think this is a good idea! It would be very fun to go on an adventure, and adding in the code blocks makes it educational. Though unfortunately there is a few problems with this:
Rankings on Scratch are rejected. Leveling up your buddy may or may not count as a ranking.

Also, who would the villain be?

I don't wanna have to go offline just so I can code like I can on the online editor.

It's not about coding, it's about learning coding
Also it's only for those who start Scratch

Sounds like a great idea to help get 8yos into coding on Scratch. Support.

Support, but how would the villian look like? Is it Nano's evil brother? Is it- Just found out unltimate creater asked that before me.

The villian will be decided by the scratch team (But kaj will be likely)

I honestly forgot about kaj. They would make a good villain, if there was a way to depict him without it being just a shadowy figure. Or maybe not. Maybe a shadowy figure would work.

Bro that reminds of the whole “evil Nano” thing.

Maybe they should represent kaj in the way used in scratch mystery part 4 and 5

I support this, it would be a lot more engaging and would assist kids in coding pretty well. Personally, I think the villain should be the Frank sprite or something, after all Kaj is a real person and he’s probably got a wife and kids by now lol.

Support. As much as I love trial and error, there are some things that could be explained quite easily with a more extensive tutorial.

Sounds good - Maybe as a spin-off? Or as a programme that you join with any Scratch account?

It's a spinoff of scratch that recommended before you start the site.
