Why aren't all the moderators credited?
I've noticed that when I get responses to my ‘Contact Us’ messages, sometimes the names of the people responding aren't listed on the Our Team page. At first I thought maybe they were just interns or something but there's one person who's been responding to me for like, three years, so that doesn't seem super likely to me. So why aren't they on the credits page? I would understand if they wanted to stay anonymous, but if that was the case why would they sign the emails with their names at all?
Not really urgent or anything, just wondering.

It may be that some Scratch Team members (particularly those who work only in Contact Us) do not have an account, and thus are not listed in the Credits page. Indeed, not all people who work for Scratch require an account that has moderator tools.

Someone from Contact Us reshared some projects for me that had been mistakenly taken down, so they definitely have mod tools, but their name isn't on the “Our Team” page. I just figured that they must have an account since mod privileges are tied to a person's account based on my understanding?

Perhaps they would like their Scratch username to remain anonymous, but are fine with signing off using their first name. (After all, it's not easy to find someone with first name only.) Or maybe it's a nickname of some sort?

There is a second reason, which is that the list of people on the credits page is baked into the site source code, which means that updating it requires a deploy. I don't know the exact devops process used by Scratch, but my guess is that they won't run a deploy just to update the credits page, and will just put in the latest credits whenever they were going to do a deploy anyway, so if someone was added or removed from the Scratch Team the list won't actually reflect that until some other change is pushed out to the website.
Edit: I missed the “three years” part, so this doesn't answer your specific question, but still provides an answer to some cases.

Hmm, you make a good point! That might be why.I'd thought of that too— But can someone have moderator tools WITHOUT having an account?
