This is my goodbye to gwdfi
I joined gwdfi one year and a month ago and Ive had so much fun there.

In gwdfi Ive always been able to be myself, when Ive been sad they have always been able to cheer me up and they have calmed me down when I have been stressed. And on top of that I have made tons of new friends!!

My time on gwdfi has been so much fun and its so sad to see it close. It feels so weird.

Thank you to all the managers who have taken care of this place and thank you for all the curators who have been so nice and fun to chat with.

I'm Emboar567, and I was introduced to GWDFI when my friend (known as @ERMSIGMAA) showed me it. That was last school year.

GWDFI has played a key role in my 8th grade year, so I was excited to return to scratch and GWDFI after a two-month long hiatus. But, lo and behold, on August 2nd, 2025, GWDFI closed indefinitley. My heart was shattered. It felt like losing a loved one.

But, then, I remembered a phrase that I hold near and dear to my heart from Lao Tzu: “New beginnings are often disguised as painful endings.”

This phrase helped me realize that while the actual GWDFI studio may be gone, it will always be in everyone's hearts, including mine.

All of the memories are flooding back as I write this. I will miss Y'all, but while this may be a painful ending, it is a new beginning for all of us
