Is "selling ur soul" inappropriate?!
Recently, I`ve made a recreation of Youtube Simulator X, which is a game where you collect SD, make videos and get views. I want to implement in future updates a prestige system relatively similar to the “boblox with r” game, if ykyk. The thing is, the prestige system in the original YT Sim X could be scary. Because the prestige room has a robot, and his metal is colored in dark purple. This robot asks you if you want to sell ur soul. But selling ur soul just means “prestige”.
There`s no scary stuff or whatever, I just want to know if this is considered inappropriate to Scratch. Because if it is, I`ll just change to prestige.

Is "selling ur soul" inappropriate?!
I don’t think the phrase “selling your soul” is inherently inappropriate, but it really depends on the context. It’s often used metaphorically in stories or as a figure of speech, not meant to be taken literally.
However, on Scratch, which is a platform aimed at younger users, we have to consider how the language might be interpreted. While some people might understand it as a joke or part of a fictional story, others might find it confusing or off-putting, especially if they don’t fully grasp the metaphor.
It’s important to remember that Scratch encourages a positive, fun, and safe environment. So, even if the phrase isn't inappropriate in itself, it might be better to use different expressions that align with Scratch's family-friendly vibe and avoid any themes that could be seen as too dark or serious.
I think the best approach is to focus on creativity and fun when choosing words!

I would say it won't get your project taken down but there is a chance some younger viewers could get confused by it.

I understand you want a direct answer but this is somehow a complicated case. I think it's best for a Scratch Team member to answer. Personally, it's not something teenagers would find unsettling but younger ones might?
