Rename "Five Nights at Freddy's" announcement
I think we should rename the FNaF policy announcement, mainly because you can see many ScratchTubers making horror games, not FNaF fangames, just horror games. So I think we should rename it to something like “Horror Games” or “Horror Policy”, just for the greater good of stuff like this.

This needs more attention, cannot believe this hasn't been dealt with already, I see no downsides to this.

What about “FNAF and other Horror Policy”Doesn't ‘Horror Policy’ cover FNAF well enough?

The announcement was titled that for a reason, because FNaF was the big thing at the time. Furthermore the announcement only intends to instruct users to continue following the community guidelines and inform users what is against the community guidelines, particularly when making FNaF themed projects. I wouldn't call it a policy either, it's basically just an explanation of the community guidelines related to recent events.
What is stated in that announcement still applies to any other horror game inspired project, i.e. no jumpscares, serious topics
I think the FNaF announcement should be kept as is so it can be referenced and also because it answers a lot of questions.
A new announcement could be made explaining how recently horror games have become more popular among the Scratch community and when making projects based on these horror games, the community guidelines still need to be considered as, well, there's kids here.
also unrelated side note: “scratchtubers”?

wait so nothing's actually banned?“Scary” FNAF or horror projects are banned - the policy has more information on what classifies as this. Projects themed around a horror game without being “scary” are typically not, although they may be NFE'd. For example, a FNAF clicker game wouldn't be taken down if it's appropriate.

wait so nothing's actually banned? It really depends.
There are franchises which aren't allowed as there isn't a way to discuss them without leaning into community guideline-breaking topics and others which aren't allowed due to them often leading children into searching up or finding inappropriate things.
As far as I'm aware, Sprunki is currently banned completely due to the projects having an art style that looks very kid friendly then having very gorey, albeit usually unrealistic, violent content hidden underneath and due to the sheer volume of projects of the sort. There's a cheddargirl (i think) post saying this so if anyone has the link I'd appreciate it.
As for other franchises like I think piggy was brought up before, as long as projects use them in a way that follows the community guidelines, then they're not banned.
To sum up the post I made, the FNaF announcement was just explaining that the horror side of FNaF did count as breaking the cgs and there may need to be another announcement explaining how projects based on more recent horror games still have to follow cgs
